I was born in 1930 in the family home in Toledo, Ohio, the fourth child of six. The family moved to Michigan in 1939 and I enlisted in the United States Marines in 1948 after high school. I was discharged in 1952 and married in 1953. I have two wonderful daughters, five grandchildren, one great grand daughter and one great grandson. Family has always been important to me and genealogy just seemed to blend in with everyday conversations.|
I am researching the Fallis, Purkey, Onstott, Hutchinson, DeShanaway, Perron, Haver, Cassady, Holmes, and Hartman "Tree Trunks" with their many branches. I am also doing research on my wife's family that includes Pilbeam and Schultz families from Lenawee & Monroe County, Michigan areas.

5' 10 " 200 pounds, gray eyes, gray hair, minister and wife listed as next of kin ... Lena R. Cox.
This record I found on Ancestry.com. Registration cards generally arent's altered unless the person wants to be enlisted. I think his age and religion would make him not to want to go to the fighting.
