|When I was a child all my relatives were thrilled that they were "related" to the British M.P. Richard Cobden. When I retired I thought I'd explore that relationship as no one knew exactly how we were connected. Turns out, it's a pretty distant link. But in researching this supposed connection I found a fascination with genealogy. In fact there are some pretty interesting people even if they're not famous. Most of the people I've entered on Find A Grave are in some way related and I probably have information on their lives. I'd be happy to share my research.|

|Bronx Aquarian||RE: Morrison/Cobden Photos|
I added Clementine & Lucy's pictures this morning. I think Lucy may lie just outside the family plot by the SE corner (next to Edward in a caddy-cornered way). Perhaps this union did not meet the approval of the family and hence the placement outside but right next to the Morrison family plot.
I called and sent an email. The call moved along pretty quickly, I think, because I had the lot number and section. After the phone call, I received a reply to my email, but the email respondent didn't seem to know I had called as well.
Since making phone contact, I have found them to be tremendously helpful and patient with my questions.
Good luck with you search. I think they are very busy there, so you might need to call until you get through to a person and not a voice prompt.

|Bronx Aquarian||Morrison/Cobden/Lynch clan in Woodlawn|
I just posted photos for 10 of your relatives buried in Woodlawn (Bronx).
I have 2 names which do not have posted memorials:
1. Clementine Coleman, wife of Edward A. M. Cobden; 1905-1990
2. Lucy E. Murphy, wife of Edward A. Morrison Jr., 20 February 1862 to 1 March 1897. She is buried caddy cornered to Edward A. Morrison, wife of Louise. Different type of stone than rest of the clan but definitely in the family plot.

Your request has been completed.

I don't know where you live, but I live in the northeast, and all this snow has clogged my brain. There's all sorts of stuff I should know and don't

Got this message from you:
I would if I could, but I can't. Children can only be attached to parents, not parents to children. Since you created Isabella's memorial, you have to attach her to her parents
FYI, your Isabella's brother Joseph married my 3g aunt Margaret Barnes

I'm not related to the Cobdens and other than simple curiosity and a obsessive need to find information, I'm not researching them. However I did find that a probate notice for William G. Cobden was printed in a newspaper on May 11, 1867, and another notice for Cobden Minors on July 27, 1867. Both are on Reel 3 and are listed in the Portage WI Newspapers Obituary Index 1850-1907. You may want to contact the library in Portage to see if you can find out more. If I run across anything more I'll let you know.

Karen, Thank you for the links to his parents, I've added them to his memorial. This gave me the chance to review Cornelia's memorial and add her parents and their marriage. David

I have added the information and would be glad to transfer the memorials to you if you would like to have them.
