Dr. Leonard Holland - Old McArthur Cemetery
I have a question I'm hoping you can help me with. Martha Arrelia Holland married Rev. Sanford B. Mathews & Dr. Arthur Titus. She is buried in Elk Cemetery with her first husband. Her death record & obituary list her father, Dr. Leonard Holland. I'm sure this memorial is her father's. Her mother is listed on her death certificate as "Mary Simpson". I see Leonard's memorial is linked to spouse Mary Sudlow. Was Sudlow Leonard's only wife? I want to make sure before I link her to the memorial. Any information would be helpful. I am researching Martha's husband's family & I just wanted to confirm. I try to have as accurate information as possible. Thank you! Abigail Deeter

Thanks for taking the pic. I added a flower with the line I am researching on my Uncle Leon Elbert Ogan, Imperial Valley, CA. Lived years in Yuma. Passed in Peoria, AZ.

I was wondering if you knew if Oliver's Wife, Mary E. Raypole was buried next to him and if their was a marker like his, especially since she died two days after Oliver.

RE: OGAN, Nathan
No, I'm not related to the OGAN family. I'm documenting early Beadle County, South Dakota, residents. The two newspaper articles verify Nathan's death before vital records were recorded. Thank you.

RE: Goshen Baptist Cemetery
Thanks for the info, Sharon. Whenever I'm able to get down that way, I'll see what I can get accomplished.

I have a question...you posted photos of Three Locks Cemetery in Ross County, Ohio. Many of my relatives are buried there, are yours? Just kind of wondering because it's such an out of the way cemetery.

It appears the township trustees have really cleaned up that cemetery, but I'm concerned. I have a great-grandfather and a great-great grandfather buried there. When I located their graves many years ago, they were under some scrub brush straight up from the top circle of the drive and it looks like now, the overgrown shrubs are gone. There was a Civil War marker for Joseph L. Hammond and a small one next to it for his father, John Hammond. I'm going down the week after July 4th and will get some cousins to go on a search with me.
Thanks again!
Dianne
