Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a wife and mom of 3, going back to college but always working on genealogy! My TIDBIT COLLECTIONS page (with my mother) is a working progress but it is posted below.

We have transcribed for two states now and other organizations within those states. My kids (sometimes) like to accompany me to a cemetery to roam around and find stones or information for people. My daughter has become experienced with a digital camera and loves photography so she takes the pictures of the stones and while we are there... she gets some great shots of the area for her own collection of beautiful landscapes. A win/win situation, right?

I DO NOT claim to be an historian or a professional genealogist (even though that is my passion) but I am a great puzzle solver and so if you are stuck, send me an email. I will even go to a library or jump online to brainstorm with you. Let me know how I can help you!

American Indian connection
I read your message about finding your Indian connection. I have a Cherokee Indian ancestor according to stories handed down by her children. My DNA test did nothing to prove it. A retired professor and a Cherokee Indian says there is no such thing as a DNA test to prove Cherokee. She will research for $500 per ancestors in question. Too expensive for me.

RE: Alice Tayor Bast at St. Paul's Cemetery
Thanks so much for your response and analysis. Yes Gena is my friend and Alice is her great grandmother. I am going to forward your message to her. I appreciate you getting back with us. Alice is definately a mystery.

Have a good day.

Charles Holmes
Thank you and his middle name has been added. I add and update full name, maiden names, nicknames ect headstones, death certificates are not always correct. If its not in the name section it can not help people connect with their family members when they do a search.

Thanks Randal

Alice Tayor Bast at St. Paul's Cemetery
I am a friend of the great granddaughter of Alice. She and I are researching her and trying to figure out who her mother was and more about her father. Are you related? Do you know much about Alice. My friend is at a roadblock with her on her family tree research. Thanks.

RE: Samuel G. B. Annable
Yes I am. S.G.B. Annable was my Great Grandfather. Crossville and Grayville are near each other and I am going by Info that my great aunts gave to me. The tombstone was done at a later date and the wrong year was engraved as 1865. His obituary says he was born in 1869 and 78 at the time of his death. The Illinois transcribed death record shows he was born in 1868. I know he was about 12 when his Dad left the family and his birth in 1869 fits with the dates I have regarding his fathers history and death. Not to mention that his daughters said he was born in 1869. Also, census records show he would have been born 1868 or 1869. One census says he was 21 at the time of his marriage in 1891 and that would have made his birth as being in 1869 since his birthday was in November. Very confusing, but I feel confident in the 1869 birth year.

RE: Milton - MELTON
A.B. Milton was a duplicate so I deleted one of them. I don't know what the A. B. stands for so he might not be Azariah. As for Monroe, Frank and Martha, all I know is they were listed as being buried in Old Zion Cemetery in the old history that I have of the Zion church and cemetery. By not having any birth or death dates they could of all of been infants or the person that gave the info when they were gathering the information to print the book might not of known it. They may of never of had a headstone or it could of been destroyed with the tornado that hit the church and cemetery. Sorry that I can't be of more help.

RE: Milton - MELTON
I probably just entered it twice. Right now I am in the middle of moving and my info is in a storage unit. I will try to go find it in a couple of days and see what I can find. This is not my line, it is a friend of mine. I do her research for her a lot. My family was in the same area though. I will email you when I get it.
