Just letting all of you know that on or about 3-27-2013, I took a really hard cardiovascular hit; spent a month at local medical facility; as I become stronger, will continue with Find-A-Grave but it may take a while to do all that needs to be done; would appreciate your patience with me.

Hello Everyone!

I have a LOT of work to do! .. and "I think I can do that"! (quoting you-know-who when she was starring in a movie and was told, "All you have to do is walk into the church", or something close to that - I think it was 'walk into a church' - been awhile since I've seen it).

Sorry I've "been away" for such a long period of time! I am hoping to receive a new computer in the not-too-distant future as this one appears to be on its last 'gig-a-byte' .. it occasionally works but, most often, 'occasionally DOES NOT'; thus, the reason I've been unable to make corrections, answer e-mails, etc.

For all of you who have said prayers for me and sent messages re. my health, my sincere "Thank You" to each of you.

Thanks to my Precious Lord Jesus Christ, I am now doing well. What happened to me? I died 3-27-2013 about 15 minutes after I sat down at the computer. My daughter heard a small plastic item hit the tile floor and, thinking 'some books had fallen' called out from the living room, "Mom, are you o.k.? (X 2) and, when I didn't answer, came from the living room to check on me and found me lying in the floor very dead and, while calling 911 EMS, she immediately began the chest compressions which were continued by EMS when they arrived; I was taken to the local medical center and someone came to my daughter immediately and said, "This is grave, you need to call your family". Following what I refer to as "receiving the ice-water baptism" (I was frozen) and "having my throat cut" (ventilator) and, "sleeping" for about 12 days/nights, I awakened one afternoon about 3:00 PM, wide-awake, no pain, flat of my back "with hoses and tubes everywhere", still on the ventilator, and was immediately told by my daughter and sister what had happened to me. After about an hour, they went home (having been there 'round the clock) and the doctorS began coming in and telling me what had happened and that I was now known as the "miracle at St. Mary's", one of the doctors telling me, "We know what happened - your heart quit beating but we don't know why" and one telling me that only 1 in 5 usually survive what had happened to me ... and some people did ask me, and still do, if I saw 'a bright light' or 'went through a dark tunnel' to which I answer, "No, but, when I woke up, I felt like I had had the best night's sleep I could ever remember" (12 days/nights - no wonder I felt 'rested'!) .. and, having said all that, "I PERSONALLY know Who holds tomorrow and I know WHO holds my hand". He truly is Magnificent, Majestic - He has been, for many years, and will ALWAYS be my LORD! .. and to all my beautiful family members/friends at Find-A-Grave, please don't forget Psm. 23 and meditate on each of its phrases, .. green pastures .. still waters .. THROUGH the valley of the shadow of death (and do I fully understand that one!), etc., etc. .. and I ask Him to bless each of you every day of your lives ... Love to All of You, Della

Your recent absence
So happy to find you again and pray your convalescence continues. I have been or my late loved ones have been the recipients of your inherent kindnesses several times on this venue.
I so appreciate all you do. I experienced "death (cardiac arrest)" much as you did but for a much shorter time.
Oh how I wish
a long healthy life for you & your loved ones.

George Currence
George Washington Damron
Hi Della. I recently visited Woodmere Memorial Park in Huntington. The ladies at the cemetery office told me that George isn't buried in this cemetery.

RE: #91347277 - Fraley
Hello Della: I need some help with a cemetery. I have recorded a Rice - Fraley Family Cemetery that my grandfather, Homer Fraley and my father Ralph Fraley used to care-take for many years. The small family cemetery contains my Great Grandparents and my Great-Great Grandparents along with other very special family members. I did not want those folks to go unnoticed. Now with that said. I need to know who holds the deed for this property. It is located on the Right Fork of Lick Creek. I have the GPS Coordinates but unfortunately, that is all I have. One of my distant cousins who lives in Indiana went there and was kind enough to take photos and gave me permission to use them on the memorials. I don't know where to start. Can you help me? Ahead of time, many thanks. Monna Kay

duplicate find-a-grave
Two people did a Find-a-Grave for Henry "Cue" Finnan, a person in my tree; and each has him in a different cemetery unless one was renamed. Please let me know what is correct. A search with first and last name only brings both up. Thx

Meade Family
Hi, I am new to find a grave and there is an amazing amount of information here.

I wonder if you might be able to direct me to someone that would be able to help me with my Meade Family research. My great-grandfather was Braxton Bragg Meade, born 1873 and he grew up along the Big Sandy River. His death certificate lists his parents as Jesse and Laura Mathias Meade. I have never found any record of the parents or of Braxton before 1898 when he fought in the Spanish American war. I would appreciate any suggestions you can throw my way!

Thanks so much and I'm so glad you are doing better!

James & Sarah Mount
Hi Della,

I hope you are doing well! I was wondering if you could be so kind and transfer two memorials over to me - James Mount #79559734 and Sarah Mount #79559817 my find a grave account is #47986055.

My husband is related through this line. We were recently able to stop by their graves on our way from North Carolina to visit family in Michigan, and we've uploaded the gravestone photos for them. I have some more info. i'd like to type up for their bio's if that's alright.

I greatly appreciate it, take care!

Kind regards,
