I like doing Genealogy. As I research I have found a few relatives, even sitting side by side at the library. My greatest find was looking at a website ..typing in the address of my grandpa 's dad. I found the house that my grandpa's grandparents brought in 1871 and owned into the 1900's . also the will of my GG grandma . The house was being rehab by a preservatist group. It is on their site looking as it looked in 1871. My brother and I went to see it it..imagine standing on the front walk that your gg Grandparents stood on over a 100 years ago.
I have joined several Historical society. This is a fun way to meet people with your same interests.. I like to help older people find out about their families. As I research I also find myself reading books on that period of time. This is a good way to figure out how they lived.

duplicates
I hate when duplicates happen. However I have found a way to delete them. If you'll look in the corner of the duplicate there will be an x click on that & it will delete it. Well I'd like to view the memorial the other person put in after I did
but when I go to the Springfield National Cemetery
site it won't let me browse the memorials. This is why I haven't been able to find him plus like I said the only Elisha Fred Kyger that comes up when I type in his name is the one I put in. How does one explain that.?

Elisha Fred Kyger
I'm not saying you are wrong but every time I
type in his name the one I put in is the only one that comes up. Even when I go to the cemetery you
say he is in he still doesn't come up. Don't know
what to tell you.I know you want me to change it but if I can't find him then I can't make the change even tho say he is in said cemetery.

Elisha Fred Kyger
Sissy;
Let me do some research. There was a reason that
I put him in the cemetery that I did. Also my
memorial was put in in 2011.

Elisha Fred Kyger
What relation are you to Elisha Kyger? Also I cannot locate E I put him in lisha in the National Cemetery. Before I put anyone in I try to see if they are in the said cemetery. If not then I put them in. Some times it happens.

Fred Quade
Hi
I wanted to let you know that the location given for Fred (6D) is very likely wrong. That is the oldest section at Oakwood, early 1800's.
I realize that location is listed at Oakwoods web site, I suggest you contact them.

Albert Neitzke 1893
We put up pictures for Albert Neitzke, d. 1893 (although unfortunately, there are no pictures of his actually grave marker, as very few exist for the Public Graves...and, as explained, many of the graves were even moved). Note that the correct notation for the plot location is "Pub 66 R 23" which stands for Public Ground, Grave #66, Row 23.

Quade d. 1881
Oh! It seems Quade d. 1881 (stillborn) is buried in the same plot with Johanna Quade. Johanna was lucky to still have a grave stone in the Single Grave section. Internment records list this Quade stillborn as "Albert" or "Albunt's" child. If you can locate more information about this father's date of death, then we can search plot records for the father.

Internment record database is here:

Quades
Hi. Here are the links for the internment records for the Quades that you are requesting a photo. Do these ages match up for the family you are looking for? These children are buried in what is called "Single Graves" and according to this survey done in the 1980s, it appears there are no surviving stones for any "Quades" in this Single Grave section, unfortunately.
Here's a link to Single Grave surviving stones:

This link is to the overall internment records, so you may be able to search for other Quades here:

William Quade d. 1883 8 months
Anna F. Quade d. 1884 5days (William and Anna were buried in same plot)

Quade d. 1881 (stillborn)

*Please let us know if you would still like a photo of this Single Grave section or if your research leads you elsewhere. Thankss.
