I have been a researcher for the last 25 years, taking clients with an interest in German genealogy. I also lecture in the area surrounding San Antonio.
I believe we all have something we can share with others.

Are you still out there? Got something to report on Peter Thomas. Your old email is not working for me.

Peter Heck
I found this note on my tree for Peter Heck b 1765 in Pennsylvania and who died in Columbiana county in 1843.

He was my 4th great grandfather:

"Peter moved with brother in laws John Nichols and Balthazar Mowen to Columbiana [now Mahoning] Co., Ohio about 1807. Suzy Bettac Suzanne Bettac (ID *****4803) April 04, 2007"

Do you have any indications about the given names of his sisters(Hecks) who married John Nichols and Balthazar Mowen, and moved to Ohio with them?)

I am trying to find Peter's parents in Pennsylvania.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

I am trying to contact Brenda Wallace. Her husband is a descendant of a Spitler. I met her and her family several years ago and lost contact with her. Do you know how to contact her?

Thank you.

Hochdorf Emigrants
Hi Suzy,

I found some information that you posted regarding emigrants from the German village of Hochdorf. Wishing to verify whether you posted a complete list from the minister's emigrants notes in that church book or whether you may know that there are more.

Back-ended in your work tracing the lineage of some Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, families.

George Macklin
Suzy, I think the George Macklin, grave recorded by Henry Baldwin in 1908 and "supposedly" not found now - he is in Unity Brick Cemetery at memorial 5288338. With a little digging last year, I found his stone beneath the sod (see photos) and uncovered it. It is still flat, but visible. No sign of wife Magdalena, however she was also recorded by Baldwin as "Polly" Macklin. Will always keep looking. Anne

Hi Suzy,
If you sent me their info and the cemetery they are in, I will check for you. You can email me at if you like. That way I can print the info and take it with me when I go to the cemetery.

Mount Olivet Cemetery
Hi Suzy,
I am posting photo's in that cemetery.
So far the photo's are all there, they are still standing. Some are not in good condition, do to the person mowing. I have been in contact with Beaver Twp., Trustee's in fixing the problems. If you let me know, I can repost new photos for you if you like.
