I am retired from breeding and showing Balinese cats. I am a Christian - Republican - live in Georgia with husband, two cats, two sheltie dogs, and have two grown sons, and two grandchildren.
My most enjoyable interest are: Animals, Genealogy, Religion, Ancient History, Nature, Music (classical, Folk, 50's, Religious), Gardening, Walking, Cooking, and being with my family, pets, and friends.
I love looking up people I never knew and reading about their lives. When I am called to Heaven, I am sure it will take me hundreds of years to meet all of the wonderful people listed on FAG. Thank goodness Heaven is eternal!
FAG is such a wonderful and everlasting way to pay tribute to our families, friends, celebrities, and those we never meet in life.
I want to thank each and every one who have left flowers and tributes to my loved ones. It is deeply and sincerely appreciated. My heart is touched and I love you all.
RE: Elephare Hutto Hi I found Rebecca Forehand is listed in the 1880 census, she is a widow but the next shows a lady named Cemethy Simmons and her son William age 1.
This is Samantha Simmons living in the household of Rebecca Forehand! Take a look on ancestry if you get a chance. It looked like Rebecca was living alone because she is on the bottom line of that page.
Also there was an orphan named Theo Butler who lived with Rebecca and William. Some of Rebecca's neighbors in 1850 were Butler. In 1850 there were also Simmons who were neighbors to Wm & Rebecca Forehand I'm wondering if that should have read Simmons and the enumorator just wrote it wrong????
Narcissus Forehand DeVane I went to see if I could find Rebecca's daughter Narcissus and she had married a DeVane her memorial is 97121292. I think the Malissa Thompson is also the daughter of Rebecca Forehand, but on the 1850 census they spell it as Alemisia Forehand. I kept wondering where this lady fit into the family.
RE: Elephare Hutto I feel like this is her, I am not really sure who yet is Malissa Thompson but because William and Rebecca Forehand lived right next door which was so common for families to be right next to each other, probably on the same land....
if you notice on the 1860 Samantha Simmons was also an orphan and lived with William and Rebecca Forehand and then in 1870 Samantha Simmons was again listed in the household with Malissa Thompson. I wish I knew who or how this Malissa lady was related to the Forehands..do you know?
Anyway I had wrote to you years ago about the Swearingen's, I was related through his second wife Sara. I sure wanted to be able to find something for you on Ella Hutto and have been looking through old newspapers. Narcissa Forehand winded up in Berrien County GA. Narcissa was one of the daughters of William and Rebecca Forehand, I can't remember at this moment who she had married but they moved to Berrien Co. GA and the man died and she remarried. I was just kind of surprised to find that. Anyway if I do find something I'll sure let you know! Cat
RE: Sarah Ellen Bullard Hopefully not, I think something will come up sooner or later-I looked for 13 years for my great grandfathers death certificate and it was spelled incorrectly. I know the Hutto lady was before death certs but who knows, other people may have information too! It's just waiting to be uncovered! :) Cat
Van Swearingen Hi, I'm Renee Gibson. I came across your memorial for Gerret Van Swearingen. According to what I've found, he is my 11x great grandfather. I'm curious if you have any additional information about him or Barbarah deBarrette or could point me in the direction of where I might find additional information about them. Thank you!
