Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am married to Peter Michael Keilty and we live in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. I have been focusing on the Keilty and Maloney families, most of whom are buried in Connecticut. I have also been working with Bernard Keilty, to locate and record all the children of Michael and Sarah Quinn Keilty.

In my spare time, I work on family research, restore old photos and maintain 8 family trees on Ancestry.

Larkins in Harwich, MA?
Hello Gay,
I came across a number of Larkin burials in Harwich, Mass. Nineteenth and twentieth century. They are in Holy Trinity cemetery on Route 124. Barnstable County. Let me know if they are of interest to you.

RE: Jane Elizabeth Larkin info
Just walked the entire yard of St. Mary, didn't find a single Hoyt or other Larkins. It's curious that she is not listed as being on the same stone with Ira. I am wondering if she is there but the inscription just was never made? I called Mount St. Peter (Catholic, I am assuming), and they don't have her. St. Michaels' office is closed. She could also be at St. Augustine in Seymour which is right up the road. You can try calling Saint Michael's rectory on Monday. Another good page would be the Archdiocese of Hartford, CT. I have to pack!

RE: Larkins and Hoyts transferred
Well, I just happen to live on Seymour Ave. It ends about 1/2 mile north of here, whereupon the Derby/Ansonia border happens and it turns into Wakelee Ave, Ansonia. Saint Mary's is right at that corner. Hence the confusion. It is a small lot and I am more than delighted to wander around in there and see if I can find her. Please add her and a request and I'll go off in search of. I'm on vacation for a week on the Cape, but to be sure I'll be back on the trail come Labor day ;-)

Larkins and Hoyts transferred
...As well as Ellen Battersby. True story: I went ahead and buried them all in the wrong Saint Mary's! I had deleted photos off my hard drive so had to secure them from the website. Whew, fixed. Anyhow, I gave you the Larkins you had not requested as well. If they're not direct relatives they may well be a branch; folk didn't move around very much back then and Larkin is not a huge name around here. Nothing like Hoyt (although Hoyts were much more numerous down the coast towards Stamford).

Larkins galore
Hi Gay,
I found two out of three of your Larkins, and a few others as a bonus. If you'd like me to transfer management to you just let me know. On the main stone there is an Ira Hoyt and a child, Mary Larkin Hoyt, as well as an Ellen Battersby.

I went looking for the Larkins today but didn't find them. Upon returning home, I checked the Hale index. They are in Saint Mary's cemetery up the road, not the OLD Saint Mary's. I'll check the other cemetery soon, but if you manage the memorials, you might want to move them to their proper resting place :-). I'll be in touch!
