RE: The McGuire
I don't know who Verlon Easly's parents were. She was married to George F. McGuire. George was my half-uncle. His father was Charles Thomas McGuire. Charles was my paternal Great-Grandfather. Charles was married four times; Virginia Newberry Kilgore (my line), Margaret Davidson, Adar Shaffer (George's mother) and Mary C. "Molly" Hunter. The only picture I have of Verlon Easly is on her father-in-law's memorial. He's buried in Elm Grove Cemetery, Roddy, Van Zandt County, Texas. He and his last wife are pictured with George and Verlon.

RE: Elizabeth JaneHornbeck Clardy
John Clardy was my maternal 3rd Great-Grandfather.I'm descended from his son, William Blant Clardy. His son, John Washington Clardy was married to his third wife, Elizabeth Jane Hornbeck. They married about 1911 in Alford, Wise County, Texas. As far as I know they didn't have any children. John's first wife was Margaret Elizabeth Pruitt. They got married 08 Jan 1862 in Van Zandt County, Texas. They had eleven children. She died in 1889. Sometime before 1893 he married his third wife, Lena Parrish and they had two children. Lena died in 1909. All I know about Elizabeth are her parents' namees. Wish I could be of more help.

RE: Old Alvin Cemetery
Janice, I never made it to Sandy Point, that's still on my agenda. My wife has been extremely ill since January. I will be going there in the near future. Ken Hockin

RE: Clardy Family
Thanks for the information about your line. I took my tree off of ancestry.com awhile back so I could make some corrections at my leisure and I've just never gotten around to putting it back on again. That site is excellent though, and I do make use of it often. I've been a member of the site for some time now. I'm always happy to share information about my lines with other genealogy hunters. Most of the people I've run into have also been happy to share. There's always that few though who act like "what's mine is mine and I'm not about to share." Those people aren't worth my time and effort so I just try to keep up with those who are willing and eager to share. My own tree wouldn't be a large as it is today without the kindness of others. Thank you for being willing to share.

RE: Clardy Family
What is your link to William Blant Clardy, Sr. and his wife Elizra? Did the information I sent to you recently help you in your research?

RE: Clardy Family
I, too, am a direct descendant of William Blant Clardy and his wife, Elzira N. Gilliland. I would enjoy corresponding with you about our relatives.

RE: Old Alvin Cemetery
Loveless was added by a different person, Kathleen Giusti & Cottle was added by J.E.Martin. I don't think you are going to find Cottle in the Old Alvin Cemetery part of Oak Park. Keep me abreast of your findings. Nice talking to you. Kenneth Hockin
