RE: Jozef Brejwa
I took photos of the marriage record from the computer screen in the library. I put them up on the memorial page so you can read them.

RE: Jozef Brejwa
Jozef was married on 9/27/1905 in Milwaukee. The marriage record says that his father was Peter Brejwa. His mother's name was Katarzyna Szarzcz. His wife's maiden name was Mary Witkowski (or Nitkowski, hard to tell). Her father was named Vincent Wit(Nit?)kowski. Her mother was Paulina Januszewki. Mary was born in Poland. They had a Roman Catholic ceremony. Marriage licence #18904. Marriage certificate #2582.

Thanks for your nice words, Nita.

The man has already deleted his duplicate memorial.

All the very best,

Bill

Hi, Nita,

I didn't realize that the lady is registered with VA by her maiden name.

The man needs to delete his duplicate memorial, not add photos to it.

Thanks, and have an awesome day,

Bill Bates

RE: Ty! Brewa
Those who mass photograph the fronts don't look on the back. Very few wives have the surname on that side, so you have to step to the front and photographic it too. But that do much to ask. :-)

Jozef Brejwa
I have created memorial #169155823 and have posted a photo. This appears to be the same person, since the information on this marker is the same as what you gave me. There is a record on Ancestry for a Joseph Brejwa being married in Milwaukee. Only the month and the day (September 27th) appear on Ancestry (since they want you to buy the full record.) There are a number of marriage records for Milwaukee and Wisconsin at the UWM Library. I go there about once a month or so to look for burial records. I would be willing to look at the records for the years in which Joseph would have married to see what is there. Let me know.

That is the page that you use to search for a name.

I'll get it this weekend. I have to go to Holy Cross to get some other markers as well.

RE: BREJWA, Jozef
cemeteries.org has a listing for a Joseph Breija at Holy Cross. He died 7/2/1914 at the age of 35. It says that he was married.

RE: BREJWA, Jozef
Nita,
When I typed in "Brejwa" at cemeteries.org, there were no results. I will try some alternative spellings, since East European names can have several English versions. If you know of any alternative spellings or have his death and/or birth year, it would help a lot.
