I'm a Howe descendant, trying to extract genealogical information from Delos Howe's gold rush diaries written in Weaverville, CA in 1863.
In it he states that Frank & George Curtiss are "cousins of father...sons of Aunt Rachel Curtis sister of Grandmother Howe."
Delos' grandmother was wife of Phineas Howe Sr. Assuming she is Rachel French Curtiss' sister, do you know anything else about her?
I can provide a transcript of the entire diary account about the Curtiss cousins.
I tried to email, but it was returned.

Charles - Thank you so much for asking about using the picture. I have no objection, so feel free to use the picture of the Showalter marker. If the email address on your profile is correct, I can send you the uncropped original photo as well as a second photo of the marker. Just let me know if you would like those. texasnightowl

After walking the cemetery several times I went to the Charlestown Library Records...this couple is indeed buried at Charlestown Cemetery , Section 2, Lot 212...no stones there.
|Joseph Mann||Hazel Gravesite|
I took photos of Charles and Melinda Hazel's gravesite. There is a gravesite for William Alan Hazel located in the same gravesite. If you create a memorial page for him I will add that photograph.
Charles, Great! I noticed it gave one trouble coming up since it just had WW, and I knew the memorial was there. Donna

Hi! Just wanted to say thank you for adding my grandfather's grave. I appreciate it and am grateful that you put his full birth and death dates.

Hello, Yes of course you may use the photos. I am happy to hear from family of loved ones at Ridgeway. They are not my family but I am transcribing that cemetery. I may already have Lyman and Polly on there but if I don't, they are in line to be put on.

You are quite welcome, they were difficult to locate as moss at engulfed their markers but a little bleach and a scrub brush and they were back to new
