Would you know of a listing that shows those buried during the 1960s there? My grandfather Charles Dumas had a stroke, was incapacitated and ended up dying at the hospital. His death certificate says he died on May 7th 1963 and was buried in the hospital cemetery.

Thank you so much for the work you are doing. My Mom did tell me he went to the State Hospital, but was not sure as I could not find his name on anything. Thanks to you I now have a record that he is on the list. Can not help to go to your meeting as I live to far but please keep me posted. Thanks Lyn

Linda, thank you for making me aware of the situation with the cemeteries. You are a hero for many whether they are aware or not, and I hope you have some success with the task. I would definitely be available for any clean up attempts should that be arranged.

thank you so much for taking the time to share this info; let me know if there is something I can do to support your endeavor
The J. Lennard you are requesting a photo of was my GG Grandfather. I visited this Cemetery in about 1985 and again in Summer of 2011. None of the Lennard markers were there either time. The cemetery is in very poor shape and appears to be vandalized. All I can go on is the book by Melton and Raines that list them along with the remaining markers. This proves to me that they are really there. I did find several stones, just rocks, used as headstones.
I am descended from His son John William Lennard who moved to Mitchell Co. around 1900. Wonder if we are related?

Thank you Linda for all of the pictures and your help.
I was hoping there was something to show his burial,I knew it was private property but didn't know the owners.
Thank you for your efforts.
