Monica Goldberger de Buda

I am a descendant of Samuel Goldberger 1784-1848. My full name is Monica Ana Goldberger de Buda ( Buday-Goldberger or Budai- Goldberger). I know from my family papers that I am his descendant.Dr.Leo Buday-Goldberger who died in Camp Mauthausen in 1945 from starvation was my father's cousin. Hi Attila, Yes I know all about the revolution, my Dad showed me where him and his friends ran for their lives into Austria as the soldiers shot at them.
Sopron is a beautiful place but I bet its changed since 1980, I guess it would all be commerical now.
I sincerely hope that one day I can return and visit my family.

I sure do ! My father was Hungarian, Laszlo Koval.
He came to Australia during the Hungarian Revolution. I lost my APU in 2000, you can read all about him on Find A Grave under Leslie Koval.
My Mother is Australian and I was born in Australia but because of the way I was bought up I have always felt European.
Were you born in Hungary ?
In 1980 My father and I travelled to Hungary so I could visit my relatives in Sopron. We stayed for 2 months and I had a wonderful time. It was my Dads first time back since he left and it was very emotional for him. I loved it there and didnt want to leave. I liked the simple way of life and built strong ties with my family, especially my uncle MIKI
It was the last time I saw my wonderful family and I hope that one day I can return. I guess everything will be so different now.
Change is not always for the better.

Byron vagyok, és nem régen missziót szolgáltam magyarországon. Van egy ismerősöm itt Indianapolis, IN-ban, akinek a nagy szülője, vagy ük-nagy apja egy Klein Nándor nevű ember. Már jó néhány dolgot tud róla és most az ő szüleit keressük. Meg tudná keresni a Klein Nándor sírját és lefényképezni azt. A Farkasréti temetőben van, de nem tudjuk pontosan hól ott.1926-ban vagy kb. akkor halt meg. Mezőkövesdi, zsidó, és úgy értem valamikor katona is volt. Hát nagyon köszönnénk, hogy ha segíteni tudná keresni. Ha több információra van szüksége, akkor kérdezzen csak meg!
