|Have been doing genealogy for many years. Recently compiled burial records for three small township cemeteries in my area. These three cemeteries now have lovely large monuments installed with the names of every burial I was able to find for that cemetery.|
I enjoy history and love doing what I can to preserve history for future generations.
Will take picture within a 20 mile area of Decatur, Indiana (Adams Co.)

I am searching for information on my great grandfather, William Henry Harrison Rains, born in 1854 in TN? and died in OK in 1912. Since I can't find any info on his parents, I am unable to connect with other Rainses that have been matched to me on Ancestry.com DNA. I am chancing that someone may have some family info that might connect the dots. Thanks for any help you might be and God Bless. Betty Rains Cochrane, firstname.lastname@example.org.

The memorial id 18393426 that you created for William Wesley Watts is duplicated. The original memorial is 15082141, created by Bev, contributor ID

I'm glad you are planning a trip. Most of the stones are legible if you arrive in the late morning. Although many of the inscriptions, including dates, have not been updated on Find-a-grave, we have read them and transcribed them. If your friend would like, I can send a list of the current findings.

Several years ago you visited Heaton Cemetery in Rush County Indiana, and noted that it was in terrible shape. We wanted to let you know that we have been mowing it regularly for more than two years now. 2/3 of it is now grass, and being mowed with a regular push mower. The rest around the edges is being weed-whacked. All of the fallen stones have been righted, and the leaners straightened. This week we repaired three that were broken or otherwise damaged. If able, you should bring your friend down to see it. Photos of all of the stones are on Find a Grave.
