Laura Ferguson
Hi, someone made a photo request for Laura Ferguson, which I responded. However, there seems to be another Laura Ferguson, F-a-G number 72454061, that was already entered back in 2011. What is the "rule of thumb" when there are duplicate memorials in Find a Grave?

I see that you have flowers attached to the memorials for Vina and LaRue Stambaugh in Oakdale Memorial Park. Are you by chance related to either of them? Vina's maiden name was Rose and was my mother's aunt. The Nebraska Roses lost contact with the Stambaughs and I am not finding much in my research.

William Harlon Berkley
Laura, I see where you have claimed William and Jessie Berkley, thank you. They are my uncle and aunt. William Harlon's mother Margaret Edna Odd Berkley is also in that cemetery probably with William Harlon and Jessie. I would appreciate if you would include her when taking pictures of William and Jessie Berkley.
Their family here in Michigan and Indiana Thank you.

RE: Thank you
Find a grave answer.
There is not much I can tell you about Joseph Monroe Ray. He was my great grandfather and was married to Cloea Shelton Ray and there were at least four children. Daisy Ray Shelton, Mexico Ray Cutshall, Thomas Edward Ray and my granny Sirrelda Ray Rice.

The house he lived in is still standing in Flag pond, TN. He willed it to my granny, granny to Aunt Della and most of her heirs signed it over to Aunt Della's son Harvey. The old house is as it was when we use to visit granny when visited in the 1940's and 50's.

Dad, Robert Holt Rice moved to Virginia four or five months before I was born which was Nov. 5, 1940. We would visit once a year two at the most. I married a young lady from Flag Pond, TN in 1966 and moved here in 1973. I have lived in Flag Pond for the past forty two years.

I visited the Joseph Ray Cemetery several years ago that was when I took the pictures. I plan to go there this spring. It is on top of the mountain and this time of the year one has to walk it there.

My mom who is almost 97 years was born after they died. Isaac M. Rice my grandpa, Joseph Monroe Ray's son in law died in 1935 that was before mom and dad were married so mom does not know him. The only two that I knew out of J. M. Family were Daisy and Granny Sirrelda. I was 13 years old when Granny died.

I pass by the old home place each time I go to church at Sweetwater Church of God, of which Granny, Daisy, Mexico and Thomas were charter members when it was established on Sept, 27, 1903. JM and Cloea died about ten years after the church were established so they may have gone to that Grand Old Church also. If so there were seven generations of my family who attended the Church. I have a great grandson who comes once in a while.

I have written a lot and said nothing because I am sorry I really don't know anything about J. M Ray except where he lived and where he is buried.

RE: Bert and Lola Hill
That would be great! I have an idea from my research which of the Hales would be there, but it's only a presumption. As far as Hills are concerned. I'm not sure how big the family plot is. I appreciate you going out of your way. Jared
