Bio Photo I've been working on my family tree for many years now. Though I have yet to break my own brick wall I've helped a few others that are working on theirs. Retired from the USAF.

Mary M. England Offutt # 110189916
Hannah E. Offutt # 110190011
Mary F. Offutt # 110190169

Hello,

Thank you for the clarification you sent me on Hannah's memorial. I do not keep original size photos once the memorials have been completed on FindAGrave because I would never be able to store all of those files due to the large number of gravestone photos I upload onto this website. In the case of your Offutts I was able to transcribe the gravestones as requested by looking carefully at the existing photos on the memorials but it was not easy. The full transcriptions can now be found on each of the memorials.

Regarding the maiden name of "Mary M.". This is from West Newbury Marriage Records:

OFFTUTT (spelling incorrect in records?)
Frederick, of Amesbury, and Mary M. England Nov. 15, 1836.

It was here that I got the maiden name England but of course it could always be incorrect. England could have been surname she took from an earlier marriage and her true maiden name Lunt? I cannot be sure.

If you would like transfer of Offutt memorials at Bridge Street Cemetery please let me know via EDIT tab on one of the memorials.

Best,
John J. Glassford, Jr.

Francis Offutt
Regarding information "living with his brother" in 1870. Actually it is from a 1871 city directory, states as follows

Offutt, Charles, farmer house Candia Road, Massabesic House

Offutt Francis, seaman h Candia Road at Massabesic House

AND

Offutt, Willard, Proprietor, Massasbesic House. Who is Willard??????

I believe Edward Preble Offutt owned a hotel out at Lake Massabesic known as Massabesic.

I am totally confused at this point! Please send any information or I can transfer him to you.

I already have her name up in the Valley with lot 448-10, I can transfer her to you if you wish or I can add the info.

They are your family so those that are my name I have no issue transferring to you, I don't like the strictness of the Find A Grave transfer guidelines, if you are family friend or foe, it is yours.

Regarding the photo of Charles W. Offutt

If you want the photo without the Manchester Historical Assoc printed on it there may be a small fee, if not I am sure she will tell you to use it, as she said to me, "that's what they are there for"

She has been a tremendous help assisting me in my effort to upload and document the entire cemetery.

Charles W. Offutt & Mary
Should you click on the photo you will see the documentation for my "best guess" I noted the catalog #, photographer, time period and the subj "First NH Battery" which is noted in the photo file information from the Historic Assoc.

I have also linked Mary to her parents, she is in grave 448-10 which she shares with Ellen. Ellen is listed on Find A Grave but with no information.

I don't believe there is a stone for them.
