RE: Williams Descendants - Morrison
No problem, that's why this whole thing was started in the early 1990's; none of us are getting any younger and we didn't want family lost to time.

Thanks to cousins from around the country we have amased quite a bit of information. Judy has traveled to OR twice to research Jemima Williams-Makin's family (David Kindrick's granddaughter). We have found to good and bad on some folks, but seems like it was all in keeping with the times inwhich they lived.

We're happy to share what we know and hope that others will continue to share their family information and possibly a picture or two with us. Our grand hope is to publish a DVD someday with an accumulation of what we know. Did a test run in 2008 and it worked pretty well (Adobe friendly file). Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions for which we may have an answer - corrections where we have errored - and were always open for new stories.

RE: The Meador/Messer/Williams Family
After I responded to you, I found Cadmus instead of Caleb. It was my error in responding to you. One of the grandsons of Samuel Caleb Messer was Hogue CADMUS Williams. One of my very good friends lives in the last house built by Hogue Cadmus Williams.

RE: The Meador/Messer/Williams Family

Much I have written about Samuel Caleb Messer, also known as S. C. Messer, but I cannot find any instance of where I have deviated in the spelling of Caleb. Can you help me find the locaion of the error.

RE: Samuel Caleb Messer - Meador Cemetery Smith Co TX
Hi, Carol

The inscription, not unique, is as follows:
This simple tablet marks a father's bier
and those he loved in life and death are near.

Meador and Whitehouse Cemeteries are distinct and separated by miles. Since we have physical proof via his headstone in Meador, I would assume that his name being listed on the Findagrave site for Whitehouse Cemetery is an error.

Hope this helps.

RE: The Meador/Messer/Williams Family
Hogue Cadmus Williams and Katherine (Maxwell) Willims were interred in the Hamilon Cemetery in Hamilton. They had no children.

Both wives of Messer were buried in Hamilton. Both wives were named Mary.

Mary Elizabeth (Ross) Messer, the second wife of Samuel Cadmus Messer was buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Hamilton.

I am not related to this family, but knew Hogue and Katherine very well. Samuel Cadmus Messer was a charter member of First Baptist Church, Hamilton.

I am a researcher of Hamilton County and of First Baptist Church.

I have also added memorial listings for Clyde Ross Messer, Infant Daughter of G.P and Ada Messer, Ollie B. and Sam M. Messer, and T.L. "Buddy" Messer.

Samuel's wife and children may be buried near him but there were no readable tombstones that indicated this.
