|lholder||Re: James R Partlow|
Thanks for getting back with me so soon! I haven't had access to census records until just the other day, so I didn't recall the 1880 and 1870 censuses. (I only renew ancestry a month at a time and in spurts as time and money allow...) I think the Allan thing just threw me through a loop. I did just find his and Malissa's marriage record too that confirms George and Martha as his parents. Here's the link if you're interested: https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/VXPP-MJX. Thanks again for your help. Also: the death record you shared has all the same info as the actual death certificate pretty much except cause of death, which is listed as "causes unknown to the jurors." I find that a little intriguing....

I had a question about the brief bio you have on James Riley Partlow (Memorial #68367373), who is my 2nd great grandfather. You have George and Martha Partlow listed as his parents. I recently obtained a copy of his death certificate and it lists his father as Allan Partlow of Indiana. I know in regards to parents, death certificates are not necessarily the most reliable or accurate, and I was just curious if you knew anything about this Allan and/or had documents verifying George and Martha as his parents.
(Also his death certificate lists that his wife was Bessie Partlow. I saw a comment down a little bit that mentioned her as his wife and this seems to confirm that.)

Thank you so much. I revisited the memorial, cleaned up the bio, and put the GPS in the appropriate box. Now when you click on the GPS, and wait for Google Earth to load, you can switch to photo mode, zoom in and see tiny tombstones. You can even "move" around in the cemetery so you can see where the stones are compared to the rest of the cemetery. Because of rounding, the GPS recorded should be close, but often not exactly on top of the stones (I didn't stand on the graves to take the reading, either!) Again, I appreciate your edits, not only for themselves, but so that I could revisit the memorials of her and her husband.

Where are you getting the information to make your edits? This appears to be Juanita McGouirk Smith, born in Louisiana. Even the SSDI has her last name as Smith. You are trying to turn her into Juanita Martha 'Patsy' Smith Carter.

Hello: Thank you for your suggested additions to the memorials for Mary Palmer and Susan Smith at this cemetery. I added the material to these memorials. There appears to be little information about these two womens' families in our records. If you have info about their spouses or siblings I would appreciate hearing back from you.

Help With Find A Grave
What if I suggest a correction and the contributor doesn't respond?
Have patience. Many contributors receive hundreds of corrections every month and it may take a while for your correction to be processed. Also, not every Find A Grave contributor is active on a daily basis on the site. If you have suggested a correction and waited longer than thirty days for it to be processed or if you have found a contributor who you believe to be permanently inactive, please send the correction to email@example.com and we will edit the memorial on their behalf.

I realized what you were doing after I noticed the other duplicate, but I had already sent the message.

I am also related - here are the findagrave links you can associate with Samuel. His mother and father: John M #7852106, and Leanna # 31468713. Both are buried at Clifton, Texas Cemetery.

We have a family connection.
I found your name here on FIND A GRAVE. My father William Haddox father was Charles Alvin Haddox and his father was Henry Haddox. I was wondering if you had a photo or other information that I do not have on Henry, who would have been my great grandfather. The information I do have on Henry came from the Ancestry.com web site. I see that I may have the wrong parents for Henry.I have been off line to Ancestry.com for over three years and that is where I found the parents I now have. I need to go back to Ancestry and fix that.You can reach me at my-mail address: firstname.lastname@example.org Hoping to hear from you. Marilyn
|Lars Eighner||James Riley 2nd marriage|
It appears to me that James Riley married a second time late in life. I have this listing for marriages in Newton Co. IN: EIGHNOR, BESSIE PARTLOW, JAMES 1929 MAR 26
Bessie's maiden name was Swartz. She was living with J R Partlow in Stockton in the 1930 census with two of her sons by her previous marriage.
She has only the sons from the previous marriage with her in 1940 -- her surname seems to be Bartlo
on the census image and has also been transcribed Bartho. So it appears there was no issue -- at least none surviving 10 years.
She is buried in Ohio # 119385574 as Bessie E Partlow.
