RE: Dona
Google "central Florida memory"

Click on "collection"

Go to bottom of list and click the bottom Carey Hand option.

Only CH records are available. If you search by last name and can't find who you are looking for, try by date. If that doesn't work, try by using the asterisk wildcard.

Records only go from 1891 to around 1944.

If you look at the pic with the sword, between the other two family markers, Dona is in the empty space to your left. If I'd started looking for Dortha from the left, I'd have found her first..but I stopped at Dortha.

RE: Dona Mae Wilson
Found Dona next to Dortha on my second poke! Have some errands and will upload when I get home. dortha was covered, but the bricks I put there helped.

RE: Thomas Trotter Bonner
Yes...we don't know if his parents died and he was taken in by someone else or if he made himself scarce or what. But the DNA shows a link to others, but we can't find it. Found some other Bonners with several unique names that Thomas named his kids as well...but we just can't find the link. ARGH!!!

I appreciate you wanting to help. I'm still a little sick, but I'll get out to Conway hopefully tomorrow. I should go today, it's a little overcast and breezy - but I'm going to give myself another day of rest.

RE: Thomas Trotter Bonner
Oh yeah. We've been on that for years. My mom has hired genealogists and spent probably a couple grand. We've done the DNA thanks to male Bonner cousins. We've taken multiple trips to Arkansas, where he died and been through dusty courthouse records. Tried to get into the area out in an Arkansas farmer's field that we believe he is buried in, but couldn't because it was so overgrown - sent cousins there in the winter for us - where we understood there were homemade markers at one time....they are gone.

We are at the point where we think it will be someone contacting us after finding an old Bible or something. My mom has been posting on message boards since 1998 trying to find anyone who knows anything. She's the Kay McGee you'll see pop up. Also searching are our cousins Hugh and Monty Joe Bonner.

We KNOW we are related to some other lines of Bonners... We know which ones...we have theories...we have no proof or documentation or names of his parents, except the family lore that his mother was a "Miss Callicott of Mississppi".

We are at the point now that we search for him every couple of months since so much new stuff is getting online now. Since he wasn't a land owner - he was a carpenter - there just isn't much of him.

RE: Thomas Trotter Bonner
Thanks for looking - but we know all his kids and's his parents and siblings we cannot find. I even made Facebook page hoping someone would find it!

We've done DNA testing and we know we are related to some other Bonner lines we are familiar with, but we can't find the missing link!

RE: Dona Mae Wilson
Janet says her memorials come from actually seeing a marker, so that's good news. I'll bet Dona is in that space between the other two markers near Dortha.
