Born Dec 03,1928 in Langenau, Kreis Rosenberg, West Prussia, Germany.
Raised 1930-1945 in East Prussia (Powarben, Kreis Königsberg). Left his home country in Febr. 1945 ahead of the invading Red Army for West Germany. Emigrated with his wife Bärbel Kittler and family to Boulder, Colorado in 1960. Lived 1968 - 1997 in Waynesboro, PA, since November 1997 in Colorado Springs, CO. Retired Physics Prof. Interested in Mennonite history and native bees (Apoidea) and pollinators in the Pikes Peak region of Colorado. Attends Beth-El Mennonite Church in Colorado Springs.
