I'm a mother, and cat person. I was a nurse for 30 years. I met and married my husband Dec. 19, 1981. Being his wife was wonderful but then I was widowed suddenly on April 26,2009, after my husband died suddenly of a heart attack while on a fishing trip in Arkansas. Every day now is a struggle. He got me started doing this a couple of years before he died and I enjoy it greatly. I do apologize about slacking off since his death. If I can help anyone find their ancestors then all the hard work is worth it.|
I TRY not to make errors but I am human and do sometimes make them. I will make any corrections you would like, Just please ask nicely and don't be rude. It is a hard job to go out and spend hours photographing grave yards then making memorials for them. So please be patient with me I am working through losing the love of my life and poor health.

I hope you have a great Thanksgiving!

First I want to thank you for all the work you do and the information that you share and post for all to enjoy. I am confusioned. William Solomon Sessums (24946967) I am assuming he is called Solomon. On his memorial page you have notes listing his parents as William Thomas Sessums and Zelphia Sessums. Thank you for her maiden name I did not have that. My confusion is in his wife You type in the notes he married Harriet E Sessums born (Kirksey). But at the end the family links shows Mary Jane Vance Sessums (1848-1935) as the spouse. Was he married twice? Then he had the two boys William Thomas and Lewis Solomon with which marriage?

|Joyce ||RE: William Wiley Morse|
Sooo good to hear from you. It's been a couple of years since we made contact.
I've been working on the mix-up regarding the conflicting dates on William Wiley Morse's headstone with the dates in the Cemetery Markings of Itawamba County, MS book which is the source for the dates that I used on Wiley's Memorial page.
I have to work the next couple of days, but it's high on my list of priorities (I don't like confusion), so as soon as I can, I will resolve the discrepancy.
Thank-you!!! for the 'heads-up' and for taking the headstone photo.
You're a true sweetheart,
Joyce # 47404499

Thanks for your work.
John S. Sessums has been found at the Ego-Coleman Cemetery in Johnston County. He died in 1913.
Letitia died in 1928, but she is not listed on any of the current roles in Stephens Co. OK
They had 13 children and Letitia wound up living with her daughter Maggie Sessums Freeman near the end of her life.
Her burial place hasn't been found yet.
Are you in Oklahoma? My mother's whole family was there since it was Indian Territory and before.
|Steve Burton||RE: Re: The Vances|
Thanks. I've got one couple that is running me ragged. Maybe they are part of the Vance tree you have.
Letitia Vance Sessums (1845-1928) and her husband John S. Sessums (1837-1913) both born in Mississippi and both died in Oklahoma. We've just about got John nailed down in the Ego-Coleman Cemetery in Johnston Co. OK, but Letitia has escaped all my efforts to find her grave.
Thanks a million. Letitia is my 2nd Great Grandmother and I have about 5 or 6 generations or more before her. Both of her parents were born in Ireland in the early 1800's.
