J.G Young Stone question
someone contacted me about the regiment that James served in. the stone says 29th Vaa, but this guy says he cant find anything on the 29th, Shirley Ulaki's book hs him listed in the 27th VA. I am assuming that the stonecarver made a mistake. Do you have anything more on his service record?
I hope all is well...Im sooo looking forward to Spring!

George Wilson
Your note on the plot on this memorial states:

"Grave stone moved from the Wilson Farm (later the site of Frazier Quarry) to older cemetery behind the church"

Is there anything you can tell me about George Wilson's father or grandfather, and where this Wilson Farm would be located. I'm wondering if George's uncle might have been William Wilson, a man I am descended from who would have been a similar age to John Wilson and from this county. William owned a bit of land and some sawmills

Thanks - Lance Wilson

Ann Coffman Wilson Hedrick's infant son
Ann Coffman Wilson Hedrick's unknown infant son

Generally I do not photo or record into FG unknown children.

I saw a grave the other day in an abandoned cemetery.
Three Infant Sons of JW and Sallie McIntosh.

Just not enough info there.

Some people do put these into FG,
but they are usually people just getting started in FG and I think as they mature in their grave data entry they stop doing that.

You might see:
First name Infant Son
Last name Wilson
then dates and locations if known.

In general, people in the earlier years of our country were less inclined to name children who were still-born or newborn deaths; people today are more inclined to name and memorialize them even if the poor little child did not make it.

I enjoyed my visit to Muddy Creek Mountain.
Some of my distant relatives are there.

Jane Hedrick
Hi, Jeannette, I reviewed info I have for Jane and I can see where Joseph married in 1899 to a Mary Jane. I'm not sure if I put the name Mary or someone sent a suggestion for it. I have taken the name Mary off. (I can't get to my family research and notes right now to check on why I placed it there.)

Have a good one,

George Harvey Hedrick
Hi, Jeannette, I am related to several different lines of the Hedrick's. George Harvey would be a third cousin to me. Your relationship is much closer than mine, so if you would like management, I'd be happy to transfer.
