Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello,I have been researching my families: NEKVASIL, JANUCHOWSKI, JARKA, JORGENSEN AND HESTER for over 30 years and am ecstatic to add my information to Find A Grave. My husband, Mike is pictured in the Find a Grave Scrapbook under Free Stickers (6th picture down) since HIS job is "finding graves". He works for the local burial vault company: CALUMET WILBERT VAULT CO. of Gary, Indiana.

We are the chosen. In each family there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that some how they know and approve.

Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes have one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do. In finding them, we some how find ourselves. How many graves have I
stood before now and cried? I have lost count. How many times have I told the ancestors, "You have a wonderful family; you would be proud of us." How many times have I walked up to a grave and felt somehow there was love there for me? I cannot say.

It goes beyond just documenting facts. It goes to who am I and why do I do the things I do. It goes to seeing a cemetery about to be lost forever to weeds and indifference and saying I can't let this happen. The bones here are bones of my bone and flesh of my flesh. It goes to doing something about it. It goes to pride in what our ancestors were able to accomplish. How they contributed to what we are today. It goes to respecting their hardships and losses, their never giving in or giving up,their resoluteness to go on and build a life for their family.

It goes to deep pride that the fathers fought and some died to make and keep us a Nation. It goes to a deep and immense understanding that they were doing it for us.

It is of equal pride and love that our mothers struggled to give us birth, without them we could not exist, and so we love each one, as far back as we can reach. That we might be born who we are. That we might remember them. So we do.

With love and caring and scribing each fact of their existence, because we are they and they are the sum of who we are. So, as a scribe called, I tell the story of my family. It is up to that one called in the next generation to answer the call and take my place in the long line of family story tellers.

That is why I do my family genealogy, and that is what calls those young and old to step up and restore the memory or greet those whom we had never known before.

I noticed that you added a portrait to this memorial, but it appears to be for a different person. The middle initial is different and he was much younger that the Civil War Veteran would have been--Maybe his son?? Thanks.

Thank you so much for transferring JANE ISHAM. If you look at her record now, you will see what I have added to her memorial. She is the last sibling of my relatives who came here from England.

I want to ask for the transfer of records of her first husband's memorial #104946759 and Their daughter, Susan Coates, Memorial #104946954. Jane (Ellison) married Thomas Coates and had 3 children, Alice, Susana (Susan), David & Mary j Coates. Thomas died and she then married James Isham.

Dale Warren
Dear Ms. Hester:
I noticed you have made a memorial for Dale L. Warren, and you noted that he will be cremated with ashes given to a family member. Out of curiousity, how did you find this out? My grandfather Duane was his brother. Also, are you related to Dale?
Thank you,

Jane Isham records
Are you a relative to this individual? I found her in the Pine Grove Cemetery listing and she doesn't have any listings there to connect her with her parents, siblings, and other descendants.

I am her 1st cousin 3 times removed. He sister, Margaret, is my 2nd Great Grandmother.

She was born 1823 and died 1904.

If you are a relative, then I could give the information that I would like to add to her find-a-grave memorial. Or, you could transfer her record to me and then I would be able to transfer it back to you when i get her family information and memorial numbers that would connect her to all of her family.

My contributor number is #:47144523.
Thanks for considering my request. If you want, you can correspond to my email at:
Thanks, Ronald G Bottens
