I was asleep on the couch one afternoon and Bailey dropped something furry & wiggly in my hand. I screamed and dropped it because I thought it was a rat. It was a baby bunny. Bailey is more accurate than the weatherman also. Within 24 hrs of rain he brings all of his stuffed toys into the house. He grooms them and puts them in front of the couch. Thank you for your rememberance on the memorials of the two Aussie soldiers who died in a helicopter incident in Afghanistanon 30th August.
I think of my children, grand-children, and great grand-children and thank those gallant young men, who give their lives so willingly in this present conflict, so that they and all others in this wonderful country may look forward towards a future free of tyrany and terrorism.

Thank you for visiting my father on his Angel Day. It was a very emotional day for me, as it was also Father's Day here in Australia.
When my dad and other young men of his generation volunteered to go off to serve in WW2,their hope other than to survive their POW time to return home, was that they were ideally bringing Peace and stability to the world.
Unfortunately, this was not to be, and so many hundreds of young men have since lost their lives trying to keep those ideals in this increasinly violent world.

Yes, Mama celebrated her birthday after her husband died. She remembered her husband but at the same time had a peace and loved the celebration of "her day" with her daughters and grandchildren. Life goes on...
