I checked Oakwood cemetery office today and they have no record of burial. Review the death certificate I placed on this memorial. It shows two death dates and does not have a burial location.

You are welcome, Frances. Glad to help. Karen

Hi Frances - You are most welcome. Right next to Harold Sr. was the marker for Harold Jr. and Helena (Section 39A, Lot 1504), so I posted that photo also. Glad I could help. Karen

The information for her memorial came from 2 sources; newspaper obituary and family search.

I just saw that you had a photo request for this individual in East Cedar Hill. I am currently working on photographing section 2 of ECH so I will keep an eye out for his headstone!

You're welcome. He's buried in the old section of the cemetery and, unfortunately, there are a number of unmarked graves down there. It is very nice there though.

|B.J. Waters||Ellen Shipley|
Hello! I tried to find Ellen's marker today. There are several Shipleys in Sylvan Plot, lot 78 (see the memorial for Moroni Shipley) however there is no marker for Ellen. There appears to be only one unmarked grave in lot 78, and it is next to Dean Shipley. I marked the spot with some artificial flowers and took a photo.
There is one more Shipley nearby, but not in the same lot, Fred Shipley (1894-1942). I created a memorial for him. I hope he is part of the same family.
I am sorry this was not a more positive outcome. I am always disappointed when there is no marker. There is a remote possibility that there is a stone and it is buried under the sod, but I poked around with a trowel and could not feel one. You might try calling the office to inquire. If there is supposed to be one, please let me know and I will put in a work order to have it uncovered.

Your welcome. I took that picture in 2013 when I visited the the Washington Cemetery. I posted the picture of the Bisbee stone side that had their Daughter Ida and William F Bopra, and neglected to add the other side to Julis and Mary.
