I'm a mom of 3 (26, 22, & 5) who has been doing genealogy for 6 yrs now. My family names include Hunt, DeGerlia/DeSherlia, Poore, Welch, Sands, Bizaillion, Geske, Bickers, Jones, Harrell, Benton, Benson, Pipkin, Kimbrough, and others. My husband's family names include, White, Speer, Villars, Matthew, Peter, Voorhees, Calloway/Callaway, Pigman, and others. Currently, the only cemeteries I have started are in Calhoun Co., IL. I very much enjoy taking & collecting pictures, so that has made me not only the family historian, but also the historian of our adventures with our many friends. Hardin- Gevert H. Wintjen, 78, who in his early life was a merchant in Hamburg, died unexpectedly Saturday evening at his home in Hardin. His parents were the late Andrew W. and Hannah Schlichting Wintjen of North Calhoun County, where Mr. Wintjen was born Nov. 9, 1874.
He married Dec. 26, 1897 to Miss Mary Anderson, who preceded him in death July 1, 1944 as did one daughter, Mrs. Annabelle Whitmer.
Those who survive are Mrs. Goldie Kininger, Alton, Charles R. of Los Angeles, Calif., Oberton W., Overland Mo., Mrs. ina Evans, Champaign, Mrs. Dorothy Clodius, Affton, Mo., Mrs. Eleanore Bearty, Hardin, sons and daughters and 16 grandchildren.
The Rev. Lyle D. Stone, will officiate at rites Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Hardin Presbyterian Church, during which time Westgate Lodge, 856 A.F. and A. M. of Hamburg will conduct services. The body will be interred in Hardin cemetery. Friends may call at Hanks Funeral Home.

Mrs. Goldie C. Kieninger, 24 Southmoor Place, Godfrey, a former employe of Alton Recreation department died unexpectedly Friday.
Mrs. Kieninger suffered a heart attack while visiting at the home of a daughter in Hartford and was moved to Wood River Township Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival at 10:10 p.m.
Before her employment by the recreation department, Mrs. Kieninger had been in the restaurant business in Alton. She had operated eating places in the North Side and on Seventh street.
She had lived at 2615 State St. before going to Godfrey nine months ago to make her home with a son, Robert F.
The former Goldie Wintjen, she was born July 7, 1898 at Hamburg, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gervert Henry Wintjen.
She spent her early life in Calhoun County and attended the Calhoun county schools and as a member of Hardin Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Kiening had lived in Alton since 1941 and at Wood River for a year before coming to Alton.
Surviving beside her son, Robert, are two daughters, Mrs Alice Feyerabend, Hartford, and Mrs. Elsye Swaim, Orange Park, Fla., three sisters, Mrs. Leroy Beaty, Jerseyville; Mrs. Ina Evans, Champaign and Mrs. Milton Clodius, Afton, Mo., and two brothers, O.V. Wintjen, Hillsboro, Mo., and Charles, Los Angeles. Her husband, Albert died in 1952.
The body is at Gent Chapel where friends may call after 7:30 p.m. today and until Monday morning when the body will be taken to C. C. Hanks Funeral Home in Hardin for services at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Friends may call at the Hanks Funeral Home after 2 p.m. Monday.
Burial will be in Hardin Cemetery

One of my cousins that I have found his record of death and obituary for our family tree.
First, his date of birth on your post is the wrong century. He was born 1947. He drowned in the Mississippi river.

Visitation at Marks Mortuary, Wood River, will be after 6 p.m. Sunday, for Clyde Thomas Charlton, 20, who drowned last Saturday near Normanís Landing in the Mississippi River .
The Rev. Duane Burdette of the Zion Lutheran Church will conduct services at 10 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Interment will be in the Hardin Cemetery.
Mr. Charlton was born in Wood River, Nov. 24, 1947, a son of Vernace Charlton of Louisiana, Mo. and Mrs. Emma K. Kramer of Hartford.
He attended the Hartford schools and was later employed at Olin Mathieson Chemical Corp. as an adjuster in the shot shell loading dept. for 3 years. He was a member of the Machinist Union of East Alton, 660.
Besides his parents, he also leaves his widow, the former Edna Follis, whom he married June 25, 1966 in Hardin: a son, Clyde Jr.; maternal, grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Stewart of Wood River; paternal grandfather, George Charlton of Bowling Green, Mo.: a sister, Mrs. Faye Follis of Fieldon: three brothers, Vernace and Clarence of Louisiana, Mo. and Arthur of Hartford: a half sister, Marsha Vaughn of Hartford: two half brothers, Virgil and Keith Vaughn of Hartford: a step sister, Joann Zappa of Wood River; and a stepbrother, Richard Kramer of Hartford.

There is no need to be rude to Lori in requesting transfers. A simple would you mind, would do, instead of demanding. If she has made an error, as we all have at times, there is no need to be mean about it. Give her the info or ask in a nice way for a transfer.

He is too distant a relative to request a transfer but I wanted to let you know he has another cemetery record at find a grave, Memorial #86889164 created March 16, 2012 by Lynn Marie Vint. I discovered this in searching for his grave. It has his birth, death, headstone photo & obit. His name is Martin Luther "Butch" Ducep. Ducep is the correct spelling of his last name. Error was made on a record and the name Ducept stuck.
