I do family history research as a hobby and feel strongly about preserving our burying grounds. |
Grave Markers, Cemeteries, and Obituaries allow us to connect with distant relatives and our ancient ancestors and ultimately help us to understand where we come from.
I live on Long Island in New York and I'm willing to take grave photos for cemeteires in the vicinity, so just let me know.
I feel Find A Grave provides an outstanding service allowing us to connect with and memorialize our dearly departed no matter where they are buried.

Appreciate all the great information and connections you provide. Was at Medford Baptist yesterday and thought of you as I passed some Gagers. Then got run off by rain. Do you recognize the name Lavinia Cline? I posted a photo of her stone, but cannot read the date or find her in a census.

I added Catharine's maiden name, as you suggested.

Hi Mary, I just wanted to tell you that by chance I found the obituary for Mrs. Plummer, for whom you took photos. It was in the Long Islander (Huntington) newspaper Oct. 28, 1948. What a find! I could complete the memorial you started.

Thank you, Mary.

Hi Mary, "ditto" for Mattie Plummer. I just wrote about John H. Plummer, below.

Hi, Mary, I just finished some research on several of the family members of John H. Plummer, my aunt's father-in-law. I wonder if you would transfer maintenance of this person at
Find A Grave Memorial# 37495914 over to me so I may add to his obituary and connect him to "Mattie", Martha, his wife and a daughter. I would appreciate it. The photo is very nice. Thanks for taking that back in 2009.

Thanks for getting back to me, ytou must be a cousin from the Crain side. Growing up I was told nothing about that side of the family & my Dad John Floyd Crain was just suppose to be a god friend of the family. I guess 76 yrs. ago they kept most things secret. Joy (Estilow) Gardner

Thank you for watching out for him. Its a shame that people need to destroy graves. I do appreciate you placing the flag i do that for my relatives in Brooklyn. I do hope to visit the cemetery in the near future. Is it open to the public? I know his daughter Elizabeth Smith's cemetery is owned by a coporation now and it is not accessable.
