My family has been in Jefferson County Ohio for over 200 years. David Rogers is the first to appear in the 1802 tax roles. While I now live in the Carolina mountains I still own property there and have a lot of family there. I am deeply enjoying the quest for additional knowledge on my family history. Families I am related to include, Rodgers, Rogers, Cable, Carnahan, Myers, Brisben, McCarrell, Gray, McCoy, Richmond, Dinsmore, Kirk, Porter and Furbay.|

|Peri Ceperley||McCoy graves|
Thank you for documenting the McCoy graves at Cross Creek Cemetery. I am just new to Find A Grave. I was at the Cross Creek Cemetery 4 years ago and took some photos of my McCoy ancestors graves, so I hope you don't mind if I add those photos and some more information maybe.
For example, how did you know that Mary McCoy (w/o Robert McCoy) died in 1816? From her gravestone? I found it hard to tell if it was 1816 or 1846 and I haven't found any verification yet, like in the Ohio death records. But I thought she and Robert had two daughters born after 1816, Margaret and Martha, so if that is true, that would indicate she died in 1846. I will try and do further research on this - maybe Margaret and Martha are not their daughters? or maybe Robert married again?
Robert McCoy is my ggg grandfather, and his son James is my gg grandfather, and his daughter Sarah Day McCoy is my great-grandmother.
Thanks, Peri Ceperley (email@example.com)

Thank you so much for the photos from the Sawmill Hill Cemetery where many of my Slagle, DeHart, Shepherd, and Nichols family are buried! I'm working on Haywood County cemeteries.
