Our labor of love is an on-going project that will take several years to complete. Please check back often and you will find many new graves listed in the Sullivan Co, New York area. Our work is dedicated to our grandparents, Thomas and Margaret Dillon of Monticello, NY who inspired the importance of family history in us and taught us that Unconditional love and loyalty surpass the grave eternally.
I am delighted to say that my little granddaughters, EllenRose, Erin, Dianna & Sofia are now full fledged partners in my work here on FAG. I am so proud of them !! My ancestors are too, I just know it ! They accompany me to the cemeteries, help me clean the stones, EllenRose is now taking photos on her own. What a pleasure! | |

"The death of Mrs. Lillian S. Feitner of Liberty occurred in the Mary Imogene Bassett hospital on Sunday following a short illness. Mrs. Feitner was visiting her nephew, Harold Simmons of Cherry Valley, when she was stricken and taken to the hospital. She was born in Seward on November 15, 1878, the daughter of Almond and Emmogene (Vrooman) Simmons. Surviving are her husband, William Feitner of Liberty, a brother, Frank Simmons of Sharon Springs a half brother, George Simmons of Cherry Valley and several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Presbyterian church of Liberty. Funeral services were held at the Ottman Funeral home in Cherry Valley on Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock, with the Rev. Raymond A. Tennies officiating. Committal services will be held in Liberty where burial will be made." ["The Otsego Farmer & Republican" (Cooperstown, NY), Fri., Oct. 31, 1947, Page Two]

Sorry for the serious lack in response, it's taken some time to log in and see dad again, even though virtually. Let me dig a little further and see if any other family members want to take on the responsibility. I have never actually met my grandfather as he passed before I was born and my uncle passed when I was very young.
If you don't want to wait, you can pass them to me if you would like and then I can repass to whomever I find in the family.
Thanks for reaching out to me and now that a couple of years have passed since dads passing, I am more likely to log back in after a response.

Hi Geri,
I am Hans G Wenze, son of Hans H Wenze, buried in Sullivan County VA cemetary. Saw your picture of his grave marker, after searching for him for many years. Last saw him in Dcember 1955. Any way you know of finding out more info about his life in Liberty NY before his death in 1984? I just got his death Certificate from town clerk, but thats all the info I have. Much appreciated and thank you for all your work on behalf of everyone.
