|A GENEALOGY POEMDear Ancestor:Your tombstone stands among the rest; Neglected and alone the name and date are chiseled out on polished, marbled stone. It reaches out to all who care. It is too late to mourn. You did not know that I exist. You died and I was born. Yet each of us are cells of you in flesh, in blood, in bone. Our blood contracts and beats a pulse entirely not our own. Dear Ancestor, the place you filled so many years ago spreads out among the ones you left. Who would have loved you so. I wonder if you lived and loved, I wonder if you knew that someday I would find this spot, And come to visit you. Timothy N Traver|

I added a picture for Elisabeth. There is no information specific to her. There was an individual stone for Alex, which I added to his entry. Tim

I will see if I can find that headstone and cross reference it with the office at the church. Will let you know.

The office of St. Thomas Cemetery states they have no record of her burial. However I have found her death certificate which states it was in fact there. I will go to office and check in person and /or walk the cemetery to see if it can be found. Where is her husband buried ?

Thanks- I didn't know Ira's father's name was Samuel- also findagrave lists Mary Woodruff born 1826 and her mom 1813- strange

I think we've been in touch already- I too am a descendant of Daniel Boone Wilbur and Lillie Belle Ford (Irving Wilbur's Great grand daughter). If you have any information on Ira Wilbur or his wife Mary that you could send me it would be greatly appreciated. My grandmother was convinced she had Native American blood, somehow- just checking that family line to see if it might come from there.

I noticed you have taken photos for the Hillside Cemetery, East Hartford, Connecticut. i was wondering if you would happen to have a photo or could take the photo of louis elmer white, jr. headstone and marker and posted it on his page for me. he died 28 Dec 1999. i live in maine and have been working on family history and have done a lot of work on it. i really would like to get a picture of his head stone and marker.

I'm not sure if you are related to the people above, but they are my sons Grandparents. My son is Michael Edward Wheeler, born to Lawrence Edward Wheeler, better known as Larry!
He was born July 15, 1962 in Miami Fla. during the time we lived together for 3 1/2 years, from Feb. 1960 till Dec. 1964.
I know he was never, mentioned, such ashame because the family did know him! I am just sorry that they passed away before my son had a chance to even know them.
Thank You for putting them on this site, I also did this too.
PS: If you read what I put, you will understand!
