Bio and Links
I have been actively doing genealogy research since 1982. I was born in Jackson Parish, Louisiana; then lived in Ouachita Parish, Louisiana, for 15 years; and have been back in Jackson Parish, Louisiana, since 1977. I am "strung out" trying to do all branches of my own family, plus all branches of my husband's family. In addition, I have done research for other people several times.

Samuel W. Davis
I was wondering why/how you chose Tulip Cemetery in Claiborne Parish for the burial place for Samuel W. and his wife. I find he was on 1860 Winn Parish census and he purchased 240 acres of land in Winn Parish from the federal government in 1859 & 1860. Also his son, James Lewis Davis is buried in Winn Parish.

RE: Dr. H. R. Worthington Dates
Carole, you may very well be correct but I'm not sure why. I do not have a picture of his gravestone, probably because it has been destroyed or was buried and I couldn't find it. I got the information from a book call Newberry Cem. Vol. 2 page 145 compiled by the Newberry Historical Soc. in 1982 when evidently the stone was still visible. Let me know what you think the dates may be and I will be happy to make a note to that effect. Thanks

Thanks Carol I see what you mean. I have change to 1859. I will double check my cem. books when I get home to make sure that is correct. Thanks again.

I added family links in the body of bio as well as assigned areas then transferred memorial to you as I am not related. Please let me know if I have any of your other family's memorials.

Have a blessed day!

RE: William Hall, Jr. and wife Nancy
Carle, thanks for the heads up. Dug a little deeper to find that William Sr. remarried after his 1st wife died and Jr. was their child. I appreciate your pointing this out - I had 3 other children listed under the 1st wife!
