I have been doing genealogy research since 1974, with heavy concentration on my SLAGLE line.
My 4th-great-grandfather, Henry Slagle, was born 4 March 1765, Maryland, Virginia, or Pennsylvania (3 different sources). Henry died 5 November 1857, Cove Creek, Scott Co., Virginia. He married Christina Kelchner (Kelknar, Keltner), on 2 May 1786, Shenandoah Co., Virginia, by Anderson Moffett, pastor of the Smith Creek Baptist Church.
