No you did not offend me, and I agree that census's can be off quite a bit, just wanted you to know where I got the date etc.
Yes, I am related to Arabella Ellen Cox who Married Charles Preston "Charlie" Harmon. She is also my Great Grand Aunt and the daughter of my 2nd Great Grandfather Amos Cox and 2nd Great Grandmother Sarah Clementine Manning. I guess we are pretty closely related to the same family.
Do you have any photos of her or of the Great or Great Grandparents. I have a couple of photos of Amos Cox's Son Wilbur Amos Cox. If you would like them, just let me know and give me your email address and I will email copies to you.
Ps: I am not sick, it was William Currie that is sick with cancer, which is why he cannot work on the memorials he created.
1st of all I believe you when you say he got the dates from the gravestones, however I also understand that relatives in later dates do or re-do stones and sometimes makes mistakes on dates. I will transfer all the Steury's to you that I have redone, the only date different is on Peter Steury DOB: July 1841 taken from the 1900 Richland County, Olney Township Census.
Here is a copy of the email I received from Currie. You might want to contact Findagrave and have all the Steurys transferred to you as you are a much closer relative.
Haven Hill Cemetery Memorials @ Find-A-GraveThursday, November 26, 2009 2:57 PMFrom: "bill currie" Add sender to ContactsTo: email@example.com Due to family health issues (cancer) I will no longer be assisting with transfers, corrections, etc. of any memorials I have posted for Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney, Illinois at Find A Grave. Anyone has my blessing to add to any memorial I have posted with photos or data. For those of you wanting transfers, please feel free to post your own memorials of your relatives with your information or even if they have the same data as the memorials I posted, trust me I will not be offended. Sincerely, Bill Currie
As you can see Bill can no longer do transfers etc. and someone needs to take over in case transfers need to be made etc.
Haven Hill Cemetery You are welcome. I lived in Olney for 13 years. Only a few blocks away from Haven Hill. And in the late 1980s, I did a suvey of the six oldest sections of the cemetery. Have several hundreds more to add. Sincerely, Bill
