Bio and Links
Bio Photo Genealogy isn't really researching the dead but researching who set the roots for who you are today.

Lord, help me dig into the past
And sift the sands of time,
That I might find the roots that made
This family tree of mine.

Lord, help me trace the ancient roads
On which my father's trod,
And led them through so many lands
To find our present sod.

Lord, help me find an ancient book
Or dusty manuscript,
That's safely hidden now away
In some forgotten crypt.

Lord, let it bridge the gap that haunts
My soul when I can't find,
The missing link between some name
That ends the same as mine.

Added vs Managed
Ive had others transfer memorials to me to manage as they wished to do it, not because I asked. Now that I have them, I am happy to manage them as most are related somehow.

A Bit About Me
I have enjoyed genealogy since 2000. Like to add any cousins to my tree. Like to help people and take pictures of all stones in any cemetery. A lot of the time I am not related to the person's stones that I post but if in Nelson, Washington, Casey or Marion Counties of KY - my children are probably realted.

We are the chosen. In each family, there is one who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again, to tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts, but instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the storytellers of the tribe.

PLEASE do not post a message below about linking, additions or transfers about a memorial I manage. Click the Edit tab on the memorial that you wish me to edit. Thank you :)

Wow! Thanks for pointing out the duplicate! I've requested edit to move the original to the correct cemetery since the creator is no longer active. Again, thank you!

William Henry Haslauer
I am a historian, and I have a photo of the memorial to William Henry Haslauer, who is buried in Mound City National Cemetery, and you maintain his site.
If you would like me to include it on his page I will.
Since the memorial is on the lawn of the Cairo Public Library, and not in the cemetery, I was reluctant to just add it.
email me at if you approve the addition. If I do not hear from you I will assume that is a denial.

We Are the Chosen
Rhonda.....I just came across your bio sheet on Find A Grave because you created a memorial for an ancestral relative of mine, Phillip Hargan in the Patterson Chapel cemetery on Fort Knox. I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed reading your poem about family history research and also the explanation on being "the chosen ones to be the story teller of our tribe." I am writing an article for a newsletter telling the story of my search for my Fort Knox Family and would like to end it using that paragraph. Should I attribute them to you or someone else? Thanks. Vincent Esposito
There is no record of Vincent at Green Hills that meets the date of birth or death. His estimated date of death precedes the establishment date of the cemetery. It sounds like he may have been lost at sea. If you have further information please let me know.

Hi! I ha e made the additions as per your suggestions. Altho, I could not link to her husband as Elmanza Newton Anderson buried in Mason, Illinois because I do not have his cemetery info, nor could I locate him in any Mason IL in However if you list one I can link them then, just let me know. Thanks for the update of info!

Memorial for Florence Simpson.
You requested that I "See memorial 46171233 in nearby cemetery. Husband and many of his family listed in that cemetery."

This is true.

Originally Two Lakes Cemetery in Phillips was not listed separately from Lakeside. Two Lakes is part of the Lakeside Cemetery Association that includes Lakeside 1, Lakeside 2 and Two Lakes Cemeteries. Both Lakeside 1 and Lakeside 2 are together on Find-A-Grave. Before someone added Two Lakes Cemetery, those graves were listed in Lakeside. When obituaries are in the newspaper they don't usually say which cemetery it is, just Lakeside is mentioned. Very confusing and I don't know how to straighten all this out.

John and Henrietta Riney Wathen
Is there proof of the burial site and dates of this couple?
I am a Riney descendant. Thanks
