The link below will take you to my sister's posting at Rootsweb. I have been researching my family for a little over 15 years now. However, I cannot take credit for all the info in my data file. As is usually the case with researchers, I have been blessed to have much help along the way. I now try to "pass it forward" whenever I can...and is why I have made my file available on the Internet.
Presently my main focus is on my Rogers family. I descend from two separate lines of Rogers. One line, James A. Rogers, connects to my father's family and the other, Drupina Rogers, to my mother's family. DNA results confirm that these are two unrelated Rogers family lines.
I have seven grandmothers of various degrees of "greats" that I am trying to connect to their ancestors; 1.Lizzie Brown (Wife of John Washington Nail), 2.Permelia Hogg (Wife of Christopher Cooper), 3.Sarah Elizabeth Holloway (Wife of James A. Rogers, 4.Sarah Graves (Wife of David Jackson Selph), 5.Eliza W. Lock (Wife of Moses Woodward)and 6. Drupina Rogers (Wife of John M. Cooper)7. Sarah Bradley (Wife of John M. Burton.
I currently have the female mtDNA tests in progress for Lizzie Brown, Permelia Hogg, Drupina Rogers and Sarah Bradley. I am still trying to find a directline female descendant to do the test for Sarah Graves, Eliza W. Lock & Sarah Elizabeth Holloway. Any help to find these descendants would be very much appreciated.
I am working with several Rogers descendants that are from the Everett Rogers line. Using the female mtDNA testing I was able to prove that my Drupina Rogers was the daughter of Everett's first wife...though her name is unknown at the time. I also work with several Cooper descendants that are hoping to find the ancestors for Permelia Hogg as she is our direct line.
If you should have any information on any of the above women please contact me. You can view what I have on them at my Rootsweb posting. | |

 | Pricie Holloway Hi,
I have added a photo of the headstone at String Prairie for you. However, the dates are quite different, so if this is NOT the correct one, please advise and I'll remove it.
