I appreciate everyone who has given me their permission to use their grave photos for my books. I will get back to everyone soon as I can. So far, both books are almost finished and will keep trying to find literary agent. Thats the hold up! Those agents are hard to get, at least I know where to look! I have to find STANDARD FORMS for permission slips to send out for all who help me. So if I ask for you address; thats why!

So sorry I did respond back, just didn't see it. The photo that I posted was given to me years ago by someone else. One of my east coast friends, They gave me permission to put on Find A Grave but don't remember who. So I would have to decline, but thanks for the offer. | | | Allcalmap

no one owns the "rights" to a specific headstone and if someone did? it would be the estate of such person, such as the Mary Kay of the cosmetic empire. anyone can get a copyright, but Mary Kays name and image are a copyrighted issue itself, so the guy saying he has a copyrighted image of her tombstone? id beg to differ for you cannot copyright something you do not own, such as the actual tombstone and any photographs of it. if that were the case, every person who walked into Graceland and then to the Meditation Gardens and snapped photos of Elvis and his family could copyright the photo? Id like to see them try for I have a photo of a sign they have on the property expressing the legality of photos taken on the premises! | | | Allcalmap

if any people on this site took the actual photos of the actual celebrities, and havent sold the rights to that photo then they can give some sort of right to publish. if no one didnt take the photo or even owns the photo, then its not theirs to give any sort of consent to publish or otherwise. most photographic images are becoming more and more copywrited to protect certain images and likenesses. be careful for i have told you all that i can tell. if you take permission from people on this site then its a whole new game for you. but a reputable publisher will not publish any photographs without specific consent. | | | Miracle Mile Tim
