|Snapper||Minnie Evelyn Kenyon McNally|
Minnie's birth date was 11/26/1886 and her father was James Kenyon; her mother was M. Rey. She was originally from San Jose. Burial records for the old Sonora City cemetery have disappeared; it is believed they have been destroyed. Recreating who is where has been the task of several people and is an ongoing process. Records of former undertaker, CH Burden, physical survey of surviving markers and research into obituaries are some of the means used to come up with a list of who is buried in this historical cemetery. Minnie is listed in CH Burden's record; name was spelled McNalley. Whether this was spelled incorrectly by Burden or in the transciption process I do not know.

|Snapper||Minnie Evelyn McNally's Obituary|
The Union Democrat, published in Sonora on March 18, 1922 ran this article on the front page:
"Pneumonia Proves Fatal To A Lady School Teacher
Minnie Evelyn, beloved wife of Raymond C. McNally, and the mother of four young children, died at the family home in Chinese Camp last Monday. A week previous she became ill with influenza and the disease finally developed into pneumonia affecting both lungs.
Deceased was a native of California and aged 35 years. With her family she came to the Camp four years ago and had been serving as a teacher in the public school of the place for several months. She made many friends in that section and was highly esteemed and her death is deeply regretted.
Her funeral was held Wednesday under the direction of Undertaker Burden and interment was in the Sonora City cemetery. Rev. John W. Edgell officiated at the obsequies."
John was minister at the Sonora United Methodist Church from 1917 - 1924.

|Snapper||Minnie McNally Probate|
Found a record indicating Minnie's estate was probated in 1923. Record from 1/2009 Tuolumne County Genealogical Society publication pulled from the Carlo M. De Ferrari Archives.

I have been looking through all of the photos we have taken at this cemetery and have not been able to locate a tombstone for Minnie McNally. Will keep trying to find one. When I get a chance will go to the library and look up her obit and see if it says anything.
