James Gabelmann
RE: 16805858
Here is part of my family history, including the Hellers. My great grandfather was Christian Gabelmann.
Christian Gabelmann was born 17 Feb 1839 in Lahr, Baden. He died 24 Dec 1928 in Lincoln, KS. He was buried in the Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery, Vesper, KS. He married Mary Magdalena Hiller 4 Oct 1863 in Hamilton, Ohio. She was born 18 Aug 1844 in Lahr, Baden. Her parents were Magdalena Buehler and Karl Hiller. Mary Magdalena died 14 Apr 1927 in Lincoln, KS. She was buried next to her husband. Christian and Mary Magdalena had sixteen children.

C. Mary Magdalena Gabelmann (Mary) was born 3 Mar 1866 in Ohio. She died 24 Jan 1907 in Dickinson County, KS, and was buried in the Ebeneezer Baptist Church Cemetery, about eleven miles south of Abilene, KS. She died giving birth to her only child, Harry. She was the second wife of Andrew Heller. Andrew was born 31 Jul 1843 in Obendorf, Wuerttemberg. He died in Obendorf on 13 Jan 1925 and was buried there. His first wife was Anna Haffner, born 23 Jun 1848 and died 26 Jan 1905. Dwight Heller, who married Ruth Gabelmann, is a descendant of that marriage. It was said that Andrew was so broken up over Mary's death that he returned to Wuerttemberg for good. He subsequently married in Germany, for a third time, to Marie Hackes. Andrew and Mary had one child.

I wrote a book on the Gabelmann genealogy. Would you like me to send you the relevant part on Mary?
