I've been into family history since the 1960's. I'm grateful that I started when I did as so much family information gets lost because we don't ask questions early on.|
Find a Grave is a great site and powerful resource. Thanks to all who work so hard to fulfill its primary purpose - documenting known burials.
I'm paying particular attention to Salem Memorial Park in Colma, CA. I appreciate being able to help fill in for all that information lost in the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and fire.
The site has also provided a couple of wonderful finds regarding my family history --- primarily Nancy Brenneman Gast Rhodes (check her out!). Until I found her on Find a Grave, everyone thought she died in 1852. I'm hoping to be able to provide similar breakthroughs for others.
I'm happy to make changes and links for well documented information. Please send transcriptions of obits and news articles (with name and date of the publication) rather than uploading an image of it to the photo area (this is no longer permitted by Find-a-Grave).
Permission is granted for personal use of any of the photos I have added, giving me credit for having provided them. Permission is denied for use of my photos for posting on other websites (this includes Ancestry.com - please use Ancestry's linking option instead). Permission is denied for for sale of my photos or for any other use for monetary profit.

OK, just trying to help. Did you read the note to you from JC about it? (LOL I still think the stones look alike, as if the children bought the same kind, divorce or not. :) Doesn't matter even if it is, I hope someone does get the whole picture for you, including the base. Happy Holidays Larry!

Thanks for catching that! Even when I enlarge the picture I can't read the age, so I deleted it. I am not the one who added spouse. Thanks again & Happy Thanksgiving!

The photo on his memorial shows the entire stone. The only thing note showing is more of the cement slab that surrounds the headstone.

Larry, I am so thankful for the headstone photos you added for Samuel Isaacs. I now have his death date from the photos and they are great photos. Thank you for fulfilling my photo request.

Thank you for putting up the memorials for Yetta and Charles Scharfstein. These are my step-great grandparents and I am happy to know where they are buried!

When I read my first email saying you declined the edit for Charles I was disappointed, since I was sure of my research. Then I read the second one (this one) letting me know that you are a person who allows himself to think. What a breath of fresh air! I like your way of adding the name he preferred. When I work within Find A Grave's limited format, the "Nickname" box seems to be the go-to choice for sending that info which most folks allow themselves to use.
I'm connected to Ambrose's sister Sarah through my Comerford roots. Her husband Peter's father is a brother of my Comerford line of descent. I've recently found a website which has essentially proved to be an opening in my Comerford brick wall and I waltzed right through and have enjoyed the info gained and so I spread out to the Partridge family, leading me to Ambrose. I try to do a thorough and accurate job in my work. Seems like you may be a kindred spirit.
Thanks for that,

Thank you for your pictures and transcriptions. I have found family members final resting places and headstones I would not have with out your work.

Thank you for taking pictures at the grave sites. I am wondering about Lillie Von Hagen memorial #112795146. Is there anyone buried near her of the same last name. She is in Cypress Lawn Cemetery. I am also interested in Martin Von Hagen who is buried in Mountain View Cemetery #70248319. I was wondering if anyone else is buried near him. I also am wondering why they are in 2 different cemeteries. They did die 4 years apart. They are my great great grandparents.
Thank you again

Thank you for uploading the clear pictures for the above memorials. Would you consider photographing several in Mountain View Cemetery?
