Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been a resident of Virginia since 1985, most of that time in Richmond. I serve on the Board of the "Friends of Shockoe Hill Cemetery", and am a past Commander-in-Chief of the Military Order of the Loyal Legion of the United States (MOLLUS), the oldest Civil War descendants' organization.

I am happy to make corrections and additions as needed.

Andreas Pohlig
Jeffry,
Andreas Pohlig #158271930 is the 2nd husband of my Wilhelmine von Eick Holzbach. If you want, you can transfer his entry to me and I will make further updates.
FYI, a month ago I tried to reach Victor Everhart in order to have him transfer entry 90580835 from Mt.Calvary to Shockoe.

Picture of Benneville Ruth
Hello,
A while ago you posted a picture of Benneville Ruth with another man on Benneville Ruth's memorial page. I found an article about that picture and it stated that the other man in the pic is E.W.S. Stambach also of the 93rd regiment. I don't know if you would want that information or not, but there is it.

Henry S. Rose, Jr.
Shockoe Cemetery correction:
His middle initial was "S" as
in W.E.Pippenger's book "Death Notices
from Rich. Newspapers 1841-53, page329,
"Died on Thursday 7th inst.(i.e. 7 March
1850)Henry S. Rose, aged 49 years...funeral
at his residence in Adam's Valley."

He was the son of Henry and Martha Ann
Mundin Rose. He married Jane Elizabeth
Shaw about 1830 since his son John Henry
was born 5 April 1832. Mary Ann Hazlewood
married Martin W. Hazlewood a native of
Lunenburg Co., VA, a Captain, Co. A, 15th
VA Regt. "Henrico Grays", Editor, "The Virginia
Patron", and served two terms in the VA
Legislature. Martha Jane married John E.
Parrish in Richmond.

Salt Lake Co. Col.Henry Page
I am a Vermont Civil War buff, and am presently working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our C.W. Veterans. Col.Henry Page is one such patriot. May I use the photo's you contributed to his F.A,G. Memorial, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration

Richard Prichard Mundin
Jeff: Would it be possible to eliminate
the write up to my great, great, great uncle
Richard P. Mundin? He was a member of the
Richmond Fire Department, Co. 5 on 9th St,
and a stage carpenter at the Richmond
Theatre at 7th and Broad Sts. He and
Margaret raised six children from their
home on South Fifth Street. His oldest
child Sarah Doran married Mordecai B. Angle,
the son of early Jewish Rabbi.
Richard had a tragic death 24 May 1867
by drowning in the River along with James
Bray, a former City Alderman while checking
Mr. Mundin's fish traps at the falls of the
river.
I would really appreciate you doing this for
me since I think Richard deserves a better
biography. If you need verification let me
know. Many thanks.
