Hello, Jeanne. Are you related to the Larson family? My great-grandmother, Matilda (Larson) Hook lived in Rutland, WI with John Bunton and his wife, Sarepta (King) Bunton at least from 1880 until her marriage in 1890. Her parents are unknown but the 1880 census shows they were from Denmark. The best bet I've found is an Osmar and Caroline Larson farming in Rutland in 1870. They had 2 daughters - Anna and Augusta, which seems to fit the Rasmus Larson family you posted.
Matilda was born in Dec 1870. The 1870 census shows Anna and Augusta as ages 2 and 1. In 1880, Matilda was shown as a boarder with the Buntons.
Grandma Hook lost her hearing shortly after she married due to treatment for a severe ear infection, so conversation was always difficult. My mom so regrets never thinking to ask her more about her early life.
I'm wondering if you might have any more information.
