Good Morning Sue,
I have located an obituary for Daniel Pierce in the Liberty Register (Liberty, Sullivan, New York) dated May 16, 1902 - it was a wire post originally published in the Sycamore (Ill) City Weekly. It's rather a long column and was hesitant to upload it to the memorial. Daniel was born in Neversink, Sullivan County, New York and I suppose that is why it was published locally.
ANYWHO - I understand you are a historian and if you would like the links to the Liberty Register please give me a yell :)

You're welcome. Wish there was more to it. Having Job on it and 72 were the deciding factors that this was her stone.
