Bio and Links
Bio Photo My wife, Sheila, and I started doing genealogy about '97 and in the process, began spending a lot of time in cemeteries. On most vacations, in addition to visiting our daughter and her family who live out of state, we spend a good part of our trips doing genealogy research and trudging through cemeteries. This research has taken us to some really remote cemeteries from South Texas to Kentucky, Kansas, New Mexico and several places in our home state of Arizona. We got involved with and addicted to findagrave in October of '06 and immediately went headlong into it.
Our main goal with findagrave is, first and foremost, accuracy. Genealogy is difficult enough without any more errors being created in the quest for numbers on the contributor's page with findagrave.
One feature with findagrave that we really enjoy is the Photo Request. We really enjoy being able to go find and photograph a headstone or headstones for someone who could possible never get the opportunity to visit the particular cemetery in person and take a photograph of the headstone themselves. We suggest that if possible, fulfill photo requests for people and while there taking the one or two photos they requested, take some of the surrounding headstones if you think there is any possibility of a connection. Then email the additional photos to the person making the photo request.
If you find any errors, would like a photo or interment added or relatives linked or a bio added, please feel free to email us with the information and we will be happy to correct the error, or do whatever else we can to help you with on the memorial. Please do this through the 'suggest a correction or provide additional information' link by clicking on 'Edit' tab at top right of memorial.
Do not post photos of a birth or death certificate, obit or any other type of document on any of my memorials. To have an open certificate photo is disrespectful I feel and it ruins the looks of a memorial. If you find an online certificate and want it posted, let me know and I'll link to it. Do this through the Edit tab explained above and be sure to include the link to the certificate.

Thank you!
Thank you very much for adding the link I requested - and even more for the time you took to teach me how to correctly format my requests. Anyone who manages 25k memorials and still finds the time to teach others how to be better F/G members is a hero in my book!
