My name is Yvonne Bowers and I've loved cemeteries all my life. I was born and raised in San Francisco and now live in Sonoma, CA. I've studied my family genealogy for 40 years. I've been an active list admin and member of the Rootsweb online community for 15 years. I hope I can help someone with requests for Sonoma county graves.|

|M. Braun||Elizabeth Davisson Burris|
Hi...I received a message from findagrave.com saying that you reported there was no record of Elizabeth's burial. I contacted the person who posted the memorial and got this response. Just thought I'd let you know. Thanks so much for trying to help. Could be the marker has been destroyed or there wasn't one but that wouldn't explain no record of her burial. Another genealogical mystery. HA!.Thanks again...Margaret
RE: Elizabeth Davisson Burris
Elizabeth is buried in Mountain Cemetery and my proof of that is the Sonoma County Cemetery book which documents the existence of her burial in the cemetery. This was transcribed in the mid 1930's so a lot could have happened to her headstone since then.
There are two Elizabth Burris' Marthy (I think that may be Marty or Martha) and also William Burris, all buried together in the Burris plot
I hope this helps and you can correct Mountain Cemetery's incomplete records.

Thank you for finding these graves.
|Linda Tremonti||Thank you!|
Dear Yvonne Bowers,
Would like to thank you very much for going to the Sonoma Mountain Cemetery and taking the photo of the grave of our mother Elva Tremonti, and posting it on line to her Find A Grave Memorial page.
Without Find A Grave, and volunteers like you to help, people like me, who live far away from our loved ones who lay to rest, could never feel we are still so close, while yet so far away.
I agree. The person requesting the photo actually created a duplicate. The only reason I knew that was because she emailed me asking me to correct mine. Wasn't sure how to fix it after you already claimed it. I reported the problem as soon as I knew.
Before I go out and photograph I'll make sure I'm not photographing a duplicate. I'll try several way to check a memorial before making the trip. I rarely go out for one.
Last summer I photographed the following...
Valley Cemetery. Everything I could see. Those that didn't photograph well I didn't post.
I also photographed "part" of Mountain cemetery. The section as you drive in on the right (near the creek—north/east of the Veteran section) and upward to the crypts. I took a few of those scattered on the hill. I didn't do anything on the left (the side with all the crypts...I think they call that the old section).

I THINK I know who they are.
Celestin Joseph's youngest daughter Gloria Catherine Andrieux's (1924-1980) married name was Brown, but I have no info on her husband's first name or of any children. Would they be about the right ages?

Thanks so much for the effort! Yes, I believe the photos you took are of Celestin Pierre's son, Celestin Joseph Andrieux.
I'm setting up a page right now for Celestin Joseph (1885-1950) and his wife Mary Elizabeth Silveira (1888-1966) so you'll have a place to post the pics.
Thanks so very much!
