I was adopted by Retus and Flora Barker Of Woodman Wisconsin. |
I had the great fortune to know my biological mother Sandy Horstman and brother Jerry Horstman. Both are gone now.
I was a nurse for 15 years in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where I resided. I have acted in numerous plays in Minneapolis theaters and have been a stand-up comic at various comedy clubs over the years.
In 2005, I met a wonderful man in Red Wing, Mn. We married in August of the same year.
I am a housewife and love just being with my husband Cal.
We have our animal babies ( three cats and one dog ) and we love them more them some people love their human children.
We enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, grilling all year round and just being together.
Life is good !

I was wondering if you could tell me a little more about your brother, Jerry. I didn't get a chance to know him that well.

|Gil ||RE: The amazing gift we call Gil.|
Thank you very much for your very kind note, it is really appreciated. It really means alot that you thought enough to share you and your friends experience with me. People like you are truly a gift from God.
I have a couple of pics of TIMMY LEE ADAMS, so if you like, I can either email them to you, just let me know where, or, I can create a "Find A Grave" memorial for him, or you can do it. Whatever you want, just let me know.
Once again, Thank you very much for your note--It TRULY made my day.

|Gil ||Georgianna M. Adams|
My name is Gil and I took the pics of Georgianna. While I was doing so I noticed that next to her is a TIMMY LEE ADAMS (4/4/1949-4/29/1977). I don't know if there is any relation, but if there is, and if you want, you can do a photo request like with Georgianna, and I'll post pics of Timmy. Just let me know.

Yes, I do remember you.
Sorry I didn't answer sooner but I never checked
for messages till now.
I don't know if you know it or not, but my brother died on Feb. 11. There's not to many
Barker's left anymore.
Most of the requests I fulfill are for ancestors or distant family members who the requestor wants to fill in gaps of their geneaolgy research.. and that is very fulfilling to be able to do that for people who are interested in keeping thier family's memory alive. But every once in a while I will get a request for a mother or father or sibling which I don't know until after the fact and that is a VERY rewarding experience that means as much to me as it does to you just in a different way... so hearing it means so much to you is rewarding enough for me. :-) Thanks for the message!
