Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a very elderly lady and I have been doing genealogy of my family for about 12 years. I took up where my mother and her mother left off. How they would have loved what they could have done with a computer!

RE: Richard and Richard P Valentine
you still have photo requests for the richards.
and they are not listed in Nassau index as being in Valentine cemetery, nor are they in Rens Co. index.

Richard and Richard P Valentine
I am looking at the Cemeteries in and around Nassau, New York and Stephentown. I cannot find a listing for either Richards' in Rensselaer County. Any other information could help me find their graves and if in my location i will try to get photos. Clytie

Lindsey Clark and Maria Elizabeth (Young)
I am interested in knowing more about Lindsey and his wife and children.... I live in the former home of Edward C Young, Marie's father. Marie and her parents graves are close . Would like to know if you are related. Would like to get a cope of Lindsey and Marie's photo if possible. My maiden name is Clark and want to see if I can find a family connection. Thank you

I think there is a SCRIBE gene in every family or no one would know where they came from. In the Bible knowing your roots was so important and you couldn't serve as a priest unless you could prove you came from the priesthood of Aaron, so the Bible is full of name lists and the begats, which used to make my eyes glaze over. However, since I have gotten into family history, I am much more interested in the Bible begats too.

Bev Smith is the one who made the page for Henry Curran, and she is the one who referenced the Civil War. According to his birth year, he would have been too young, so I'm glad you caught that and I'll remove it. Thanks!

I'm not related, but am on Find a Grave 10-12 hours a day and have many pages transferred to my care because of people not being able to keep them up. I will love to take care of Henry for you and it will be my honor until someone closely related would desire to have him.

You remind me of my 88 year old mother who dearly loves her computer and can't be without it. She is a Facebook Stalker because it's the only way she knows what's going on in the family any more and she orders things online and pays her bills online. We are so proud of her for embracing this online technology after we bought her a computer and dragged her kicking and screaming onto it at the age of 84. Now she can't stand to be without it.

Keep up the great work Shirley! You have many years ahead of you yet!

I generally use only the name as it appears on the gravestone. Hope that helps.

Thanks for posting the obit for Nathan C Hoag. He had another article in the Non-Slaveholder, which was wonderful. In that article he signed Nathan CASE Hoag. I suppose other research would confirm Case.

Interesting group of people.
