Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been climbing around
on my Family Tree, swinging
on it's branches, and digging
at it's roots for over
30 years, (since 1975).
I have been widowed since 1991, retired in 2005.
I LOVE Find-A-Grave. It is a wonderful
asset to the genealogy world.
If I've created a record that someone
needs to correct, update or add
information, please let me know and
I'll be glad to add your information
for you;... or if the person is your
direct family member, and you would
like to have me transfer "ownership"
of that memorial page to you, please
let me know...If that person is not
directly related to me and they are
directly related to you; I will be
glad to transfer their memorial to
you. However, I want to note:
Nearly all of the memorials that I
have created are connected to my
family tree and are a result of a
lot of years hard work and research.

To all the members who have been
kind enough to transfer "ownership"
of my family members to me....
I THANK YOU!
Find A Grave is one of my favorite
sites.
It has given me a place that I can
remember my loved ones and honor
their memory.

If you have time, please leave a flower
for my dear husband, Roy E. Hughes.

Thank You So Much
LoRetta,
Thank you so much for the transfer of my grandparents. I know that you understand how much it means to me.
I am very sorry that you were not able to get the memorials for your Great-Grandparents transferred to you. Maybe someday.
If you ever need a photograph taken of a tombstone in Lincoln, Gaston, Catawba or Cleveland County, NC please just ask.

Transfer of Grandparents Denied?
Loretta,
I just reread the Find-A-Grave guidelines and it does state that GRANDPARENTS should be transferred upon request. I do not desire to have thousands or tens of thousands of memorials, I am not interested in numbers. I just want my grandparents. I am hoping that someone as dedicated to Find-A-Grave as you are can understand that. If I need to provide proof to Find-A-Grave, I have DNA profiles, DAR applications, death records, birth certificates, marriage records and family Bibles (but, I noticed that you don't accept Bible records as proof). I hope you will reconsider and transfer my grandparent to my care.

Memorial #27307209 edit
Sarah "Sally" Dellinger (Wehunt) was the daughter of Stephen Alfred Dellinger, not Stephen Albert Dellinger. The mistake is in the bio section of her memorial. Please delete the Albert and replace with Stephen Alfred Dellinger. This mistake has already proliferated on Ancestry and other places. Her descendants all know that her father was named for Rev. J. Alfred Fox and for his grandfather Stephen Homesley, thus the name Stephen Alfred Dellinger. Also her place of birth and place of death is both Lincoln County, North Carolina. It you could transfer her to me (she is my Great Grandmother), I will be glad to make these corrections and connect her with her father and other family members, and add a bio. That would take some of the work load off of you. I will put a formal transfer request on her memorial page. Thanks

Again asking for transfer of my grandparents
Loretta,
I am asking again if you would transfer my grandparents to my care? Ida Lola Wood (Wehunt), memorial #27300925 and Elijah A. Wehunt, memorial #27300836 at Bess Chapel Church, Lincoln County, NC. I would like to type a bio for each and connect them to other family members. They are the people who raised my brothers and sisters. I hope you will reconsider your decision not to transfer my grandparents to my care.

Hansel Ingram
Hi, I was wondering if you would transfer my 2 great- grandfather to me. # 26070040-Hansel Ingram

Also would you please transfer my 3 great-grandma to me? Elizabeth Taylor. I noticed you have her maiden name incorrect on her memorial. It should be Lisle not Leslie. # 25462139

Thank you for the consideration of a transfer of my family.

Dodds in New Prospect
Hi, Loretta. My mother was a Dodd from Landrum and I'm related to all the Dodds in New Prospect Baptist Church Cemetery. Would you be willing to transfer all of them to me?
Also, Do you by chance have any name or family info on W.P. or F.M. Dodd? I have not been able to find anything on them at all.
Thanks so much.

RE: Bullington's
Thank you LoRetta for your reply. It's hard, sometimes, to be sure everything is really correct. All we can do is our best & always be open to any corrections.
Also, thank you for letting me know that Olivia was with her son in 1856. I think that is close enough to believe that she did indeed die in 1858. At least close to that date. So, now to determine if she was buried in New Discovery as I also have her son John buried there too. Possible, they are really buried in Marion Co., IA. So much to try to weed out. This is why I, always, tell people that I truly do treasure corrections.
Well, anyway, again thanks for your help and thoughts.
Regards
DeLories
