Thanks for the correction. My great-grandmother was Annie Sara Measles Stem, aka "Ma" as we called her. She made me a quilt with yellow ducks on it as a small child. They lived at 1905 S L Street in Fort Smith, AR.

Correction made. Thanks for pointing out the error.

Well, I can't read the "wife of" part of her tombstone, and I can't remember where I got that she was the wife of William J Simmons. I may have gotten it from the Hickory Ridge burial records listed in the book "Franklin County Arkansas Cemeteries / South of the Arkansas River (by) Sue Clark and Virginia McPhail, 1997". I'd have to go to the Fort Smith, AR library to see for sure. But I did get the below 1900 census from Ancestry.com. Do you know if this is the same William J Simmons? I am not kin to anyone buried in Hickory Ridge. I just photographed it and added most of the pictures. So you may know more than me about this family. Let me know if I need to unlink Mary from William J. Frances

You are probably correct, could have been a transcription error.

No, I don't. His wife is listed as Ruby Irene on his memorial (no maiden name for her). There is a Ruby Irene Graham buried in Colorado. I can always ask my family that live in Lavaca to go check to see if she is buried there. I requested several of the Grahams because they are my grandmother's parents and siblings and the woman that had them gave me all of the Grahams that were there.
Are you related?

Thank you for catching my typo....it was 1950. I also corrected the name to Sarah. Nice to know there is someone checking up on me. Sure wish someone would take pictures so we can really verify all the burials.

Patterson and Vest are the same cemetery. Someone had started one with the Vest name and someone started one with the Patterson name. The map shows the cemetery at the same location. So I just went ahead and added the same photos to both. I don't know how Find A Grave can fix that. There is one in Roland, Ok that I just photographed that is the same way. Lattimore and Shady Grove are the same cemetery. Thanks, Frances

Sorry, I don't know where it is. I have never been there.
