I've been researching the family tree for over 10 years now, truly enjoying the discovery of my ancestors as well as the stories of their lives :-)|

Thank you for posting the Wendt headstone, I really appreciate your time and efforts.

Oh wow! Is there any chance that the date could be 1808? I used 1807 for his date, but I've also seen 1808. Even if it is worn, I'd love to see a picture.

I was looking at this memorial because it popped up as a possible hint for one of my ancestors on my tree on ancestry. The birth and death information listed for this Christiane Walter wife of John Walter in Buffalo does not appear to match her tombstone inscription. Christiane Walter of Buffalo has no birth date on the pictured tombstone, and does have a death date (1894) in the photo.
The birth date and place listed for her comes from a christening record in Cleebronn, Wurttemberg, Germany of a Chrstiane Fredericka who was born Walter, not a Christian Fredericka who was married to a Walter later.
It seems somehow the birth information for my ancestor who is the Christiane Fredericka Walter born in Cleebronn is attached to Christiane Walter of Buffalo. My Christiane Fredericka Walter married a Schaefer and died in Manhattan in 1899. Not sure how this mixup happened but thought I'd point it out so it could be corrected.

You're very welcome, and I'm happy to help. I'm rockin' my ancient-as far as technology goes-Nikkon D60 which does go into program mode. I'm no pro and limp along with a lot of trial and error. Some of my earlier photos in Guardian Angels were taken with my point-and-shoot Sony though. I wanted to remark about that Richert Monument at Evergreen that I've never seen such a spectacularly beautiful flower arrangement ever!! What a work of art! That's why I had to take that photo even though I was just looking for another request there. My daughter had a friend in school with this surname. If these are your relatives I will transfer them to your care if you'd like.

Hi, thanks for your edits of these memorials. Did you notice the duplicates of the exact same stones supposedly taken over in Rentz cemetery? The ones I took are definitely in Evergreen because I've never been to Rentz. Maybe the other person mixed up the cemeteries? Either that or all those graves and gravestones were moved between 2012 and 2014. (unlikely)
